Snugride Classic Connect 22

Hey there! Quick question! Sorry if this is already posted I searched on here and the Internet and couldn't find answer so was hoping someone could help me out! The Graco Snugride Classic Connect 22 is the car seat we were leaning towards getting for our little guy. But my only issue would be the harness tightening is in the back not the front between the legs. Can is be adjusted while it is in the base or do we have to take the car seat out of the base every time to loosen/tighten the harness?

  • There is a search button. I did a poll about this approximately 2 weeks ago and got some great answers and several good recommendations.

  • I did the search and didn't find anything on this specific carseat to answer my question otherwise I would not have posted the question. I am on my phone so I may have missed it.

Have you looked at Consumer Reports? Car seats for Littles? Amazon reviews?

  • Yes. I looked for the past two hours, even watched YouTube videos on the carseat and like I said I could not find the answer to if you could adjust it with it in the base or not. We do not have a store relatively close with the car seat either that's why I was hoping someone on here may have had it and could answer.
  • @3girlsnthepup‌ ok awesome thanks so much!
  • Ok great thanks! If that's the case we will most likely go with the click connect too! Much more convenient to be able to move him in and out without having to take the seat out every time!

If you aren't going to use the car seat as a carrier I would rec. skipping an infant seat and going directly to a convertible car seat. If you won't utilize the carrier it's a waste of money, honestly.
There will probably be times you want to use it as a carrier and times you won't. I wouldn't do without a carrier but there were time when I took DD out and wore her instead of lugging the carrier around.

  • I'm aware about convertible carseats and we will use it as a carrier just not all the time at our house. We will use it while out and about and going to grandparents etc.
  • I don't think that seat is recommended by most car seat techs.  The rear adjust is a pain, it does not fit small babies well and it has low height/weight limits.

  • Having to tighten on the back of the seat would really annoy me. I'd buy another model just for that reason alone.

  • @3girlsnthepup‌ thanks so much yeah I will probably go with a different one then!
  • It depends which version you get. I have a more "upgraded", luxe, if you will version on the classic connect 22 and we do not have to tighten from the back which is why we got it. It's my assumption that unless they specifically advertise that upgraded function on your classic connect you most likely have to tighten from the back vs in front.
  • It's called the "platinum" version and honestly the only reason I got a classic connect is because it's the only one that goes with my 4moms Oragami stroller.
