Natural skin care for acne??

Anyone have any first hand experiance, maybe with a prior pregnancy, with natural skin care?? I never break out and the last two weeks my face has been a mess. I feel like I'm a teenager again. Actually it's worse now than then! So much they tell you can't use.

What's your face routine to keep glow and clear?

Thanks in advance for sharing!

  • I use Dr. Wood's Black Soap, Thayer's rose petal witch hazel, then a combo of avacado oil, tamanu oil and tea tree oil mixed up in a little jar at night. In the morning I just splash my face with water. My skin was terrible with my first pregnancy but so far I haven't a single breakout during this one. I got everything from amazon.

  • I use origins. Dr. Weils Mega Bright Cleanser, serum, and face cream at night. I use Vitazing during the day, also origins. During my last pregnancy I used eminence stone crop cleanser and same day cream. Both work/worked well for me.

  • The oil cleansing method has been working really well for me lately, maybe look into that. The next batch I'm making will be castor oil, avocado oil, and jojoba oil. You would need to do some research to see what kinds of oil will be best for your skin though.

  • Consider sulphur, it is natural and has been used for acne for hundreds of years. Do check with your doctor, though.

I did my own research (via academic journal databases) and I'm comfortable with benzoyl peroxide, but it is category C.
  • I did have some before I started using origins, but my skin was under control after I switched and everyone raved about my pregnant glow (all Vitazing I should add).

  • I use apple cider vinegar as a toner. It helps correct the pH balance of your skin's natural oils.
  • I've been using Belli face wash and spot treatment and it's been helping. You can find these at a local destination maternity store.
  • I just started using Belli this week! It seems to have made a difference already. It is expensive, but amazon has a bundle that is a bit cheaper than buying separately.
During my last pregnancy my acne was the worst it has ever been! But it did settle down by 2nd tri without any special routine.

  • @jil1210 I'm so glad you mentioned there are bundles available because I feel like I'm flying through the .5 oz. spot treatment.  :-O
  • I have tried sulphur (read it was most natural and safe) and it seems to work. The product is called 'bye, bye, blemish'. It's a liquid that is clear and pink. I'd like to try Belli, but wasn't at the local Ulta like the other product was.
  • I do oil cleansing. Its fabulous! My usually oily skin is soft and smooth, no grease, no breakouts.
  • I do a light exfoliator with pink Himalayan salt, a toner with ACV and then I use the Belli anti-blemish face wash, spot treatment and moisturizer! I've had skin problems my entire life but this stuff works wonders!! I'll continue to use it well after the little peanut is here
  • Tea tree essential oil! Only thing that's been a sure thing for me in years. It's antibiotic naturally and clears acne spots up over might for me . Just don't ingest.
  • I use CeraVe foaming facial cleanser, apple cider vinegar diluted with water (about 50/50) for toner, Olay Regenerist Micro-Sculpting Serum, and CeraVe PM moisturizer.

  • My face got so bad once I got pregnant! I've been using Neutrogena Naturals products. It's definitively helped!
  • Fresh Farmacy + Tea Tree Water + Vanishing Cream from Lush!

  • I use a homeopathic remedy which is great. Zinc oxide is also good hun. X
