Sleep - need advice

I am losing my mind and need some advice. My LO is 10 weeks old. She will only fall asleep in my arms with a paci. Up until last week she was in the habit of only waking once per feeding and even gave us two nights of sttn so I wasn't too worried about any negative sleep associations. Around week 8, she went to waking twice and then at week nine she started waking every hour or two. I thought this might be a developmental leap but it's lasted over a week and it's not getting any better. Is this because of her sleep associations? I'm so hesitant to wean her off because the paci has been a sanity saver (she used to cry so hard she could barely breathe). Anyone have any experience with this or something similar? I'm up for trying just about anything at this point. TIA.

  • Ditto the swaddle and white noise! When we started using both, DD started sleeping at least 5 or 6 hours.

  • Do you do a nightly routine? Like bath, story, feeding? Seemed like once we implemented a routine DD fell asleep a lot easier. Ditto swaddling and white noise!

  • Yes to routine, swaddling, and white noise. Sorry I didn't include that in the op.
  • Our baby sleeps with us and is super calm. Put her anywhere else to sleep at night and she totally freaks. During the day I can get her to nap some in the rocking swing, but that's hit or miss. I wear her a lot too. We will worry about her sleeping independently in a few months.
