Jealous boob?

Every time I start pumping my right breast, my left one gets crazy and starts leaking every where like it is jealous. Anyone else have that problem?

Re: Jealous boob?

  • haha not to that extent, but I know what you mean. My left boob has letdown whenever I nurse from the right, but the opposite is not true.

  • Lol yes, they say it's a normal part of letdown.
  • Oh god yes.  If I don't have my nursing pads on, I need a towel.  Lol

  • If u have a free hand while pumping, press on the boob you arent pumping, you can stop the letdown in that boob and keep from leaking/spraying. I've used this trick for years and it's always worked for me.

  • I went to a La Leche meeting tonight and it was suggested for ladies having issues nursing to put the pump on single mode and pump from only one side and the other will have a let down. This way, you pump, and have readily available milk for a demanding baby.
