OT: Thanks for being awesome and taking my mind off of life!

Almost 3 weeks ago I experienced a huge loss in my family. I lost my grandmother and 2 of my cousins on the same day. Now that the funerals are over and the dust is settling so to speak I have been having a hard time coping. Reading this forum has been helping me tremendously! It takes my mind off of things for a little bit. Thanks for being awesome! We have a long road ahead of us. My cousins' deaths have made national news. There will be a trial. Every time more information comes out I have to process it and talk it through. I want to know everything, but when I hear more it makes me sick! I was just recently told that the grieving process is different when the person(s) who passed died violently. I totally agree. Thank you again for being an enjoyable distraction.

Loss is never easy to cope with, but when it is from violence, it is especially hard. I am so sorry you're having to go through this!

OP, one of my friends lost her mother in a very violent way, and I know how difficult it was and continues to be for her. I wish you and your family nothing but peace and closure.
