QOTW: What has been the most surprising to you since becoming pregnant?

Geez, it's Thursday again? Time flies when you are insanely busy, I guess.

Hi everyone! Sending hugs and lots of love to you all!

All is well here. Like I said, busy busy. I have put 2300 miles on my car in a week (I really wish I were exaggerating) between driving to a wedding and going to my SAT teaching job about 2 hours away (I only have to go 8 times total, but 4 of them were this week). Baby Ryan hates seatbelts, which makes long drives a bit harder. He kicks my belly anytime the seatbelt is pressed against it, so I have to keep pulling out some slack. He also wedges himself into a weird little ball that feels strange when I go to stand upright when I get out.

That said, I still find it so freaking cool that he clearly reacts to what is going on in the world. It's such a surreal thrill!

My next appointment is next Thurs - currently 22w3d, so it will be 23w3d. I don't think it will be too exciting - no ultrasound or anything scheduled (though I hope they break out the portable one for fun!)

QOTW: It was surprising how infertility didn't just go away, how lost I felt for awhile. As soon as you get the BFP, you leave the warm embrace of 3T and there's not much to replace that level of support, which you still very much need (early weeks are very nerve wracking). BMBs are full of fertiles and hard to relate to at first (and all the "accidents" and honeymoon BFPs still sting), and also a plethora of early miscarriages makes it scary. PAIF is great but really slow and not quite the same level of community. REs shove you out the door to an Obgyn where all of a sudden you are just one of the crowd.

I felt scared and alone and like I couldn't really find anyone to relate to - it wouldn't have been fair to use you 3T ladies to lean on because it would cause pain, friends and family thought I was "cured" and should just forget about the struggle. It's because of this that I have made a point to be there for some 3T girls and friends IRL who get their BFPs and need support for the first few nerve wracking weeks (so yeah, take this as an open invitation for all of you who recently got your BFP or hopefully soon get your BFP - feel free to PM me for a supportive shoulder!)

Heyo!! I just updated on the 3T Family Reunion thread yesterday but I can post here too.

Our final beta showed strong growth so my RE scheduled a 6 week ultrasound on 9/22. We're finally moving to our new house next week so I had to find a new OB pronto. I was really lucky and found someone to take me at 8 weeks. So I will have a 6 and 7 week u/s with my RE and then she will release me to the OB who will see me the following week. I'm majorly excited about how many ultrasounds I will get in succession. It might go a long way to making me feel less anxious.

QOTW: The most surprising thing so far has been the cramping. The main reason I thought I was out this cycle was because I started cramping and I thought they were PMS related. It wasn't until the cramping continued for a week that I started to realize it was something else. I felt like I knew so many of the early symptoms to look for but I have spent all these years expecting to feel nauseated or sleepy when that apparently won't happen for a few more weeks. But the cramps! Oh. My. God. They wake me up in the middle of the night sometimes. But it is worth it. They're not accompanied by any bleeding so I know nothing is wrong. My body is just kicking into high gear to make room for our little monkey.

Also, everything that @southernyankeegirl said. It is so weird to be out there on the Bump right now without my community. The BMB is still just getting started so we get new people every day...and new miscarriage announcements too which is totally terrifying. We also are weeding out the crazies. And there are a LOT of crazies. Hoping things will start feeling more like 3T does/did within the next few months. I do have the awesome security blanket of having @sugar4bri and @gsancho and @kcmomz3 and @MrsLolaSky on my BMB though. So at least there are some familiar faces. Oh and @NariaDreaming is still our mod until we elect a new one so we get to benefit from her supreme awesomeness for a little while longer.

Hello! I'm almost at 7 weeks. My beta numbers ended up being really good, even though I had an E2 scare in between the 2nd and 3rd. My numbers are in my sig, but for those mobile, betas were 445, 1098, and 9545. That has helped ease my mind a tiny bit until u/s.

The thing I'm hating is that my RE waits until well after 8 weeks for an u/s (most do it at 6w), so I have to wait until 9/22. I am DYING to hear a heartbeat and find out if there is one or two in there. I think it stresses me out a bit more b/c I'm losing my job in 2 months, but I don't want to decide next steps until I know the outcome of the u/s. Some of the offers I've had require moving, and I don't think I could handle that.

QOTW: I think the most surprising thing for me has been the fact that the nervousness never goes away. Maybe after an u/s, but IF brain is still so prevalent. I'm also surprised by what a lazy ass I've become, between the exhaustion and morning sickness. I feel kinda guilty. DH has been out of town this week, and I am a SLOB. Low point was finding half a mini doughnut in my bed yesterday morning. I was eating donuts for dinner (in bed) the night before...but in my defense, my cat kept getting into the bag, so I think he was the culprit and took off with a piece.

Hi ladies!

We had our first growth scan with the MFM today and baby G looks great! She is already 2lbs 15oz! The MFM said the baby and I are both growing right on schedule. I love my MFM and he did pretty much a second anatomy scan for us today. He showed us all of her parts and organs and reassured us all is well. We are over the moon. I have attached my favorite picture of her from this morning. I have been a total AW about this picture today, but I just love it!

QOTW: I think PAIF brain has been the most shocking thing for me. I thought once I got KU I would magically feel better but I am still always waiting for the other shoe to drop. Even today DH said he was nervous about this scan because she has looked so good thus far he was worried they would find something bad now. Like this can't really be happening for us. You just get used to so much heartache and disappointment it is hard to believe something good could come of it all. I wasn't expecting that.

Hi ladies!

Things have been super crazy lately. I was just diagnosed with high blood pressure after a few trips to L&D so the OB has me on modified bed rest. Other than that issue, I've just been dealing with normal pregnancy symptoms.

We're in te middle of remodeling our kitchen and now that I can't help, I'm having mini panic attacks that it won't get done before the baby arrives.

We did have our shower this past weekend though so I've been slowly organizing things in the nursery! Since that doesn't require too much manual labor!

Here's a picture from the shower (I was 31w2d in the picture and I'll be 32 weeks exactly tomorrow!)

QOTW: exactly what @southernyankeegirl said. I thought maybe it would get better the further along I got in the pregnancy, but it's always there. I found a wonderful group of ladies on Facebook

who are absolutely amazing and supportive and make the transition a little easier.

Hi ladies! It's been a few weeks since I've posted I've been so tired I keep falling asleep as soon as I hit the couch at night. I'm 9 weeks now and everything is going great. We have our last RE appt tomorrow so I'm excited to get another peek but also strangely sad about leaving.
I have to ditto @southernyankeegirl‌. I am surprised by how little I allow myself to enjoy this. I feel so guilty most of the time and I am constantly preparing myself for something bad to happen. I find myself not wanting to tell anyone for both of those reasons and my DH is frustrated with me because he wants to tell everyone. I'm hoping it will get better because in the logical part of my brain I know we are so blessed.

Hi guys! I updated on the family reunion thread, but am adding a bump picture here! This was taken last weekend after my shower. I've spent lots of time washing and organizing things this week, I can't believe we're getting so close. I'm finally starting to feel ready, we put off most of the prep until after my A/S so got a late start.

QOTW- what's surprised me the most is how others react to the pregnancy. Strangers are so kind and regularly strike up baby-related conversations. On the other hand, people who do know me seem to have all lost their filters and make comments regularly about how big I am, are you sure it's not twins, etc etc. It's obnoxious. But whatever- they can't rain on my parade

QOTW: I agree with pp about the whole PAIF brain. It's like you never stop worrying and always have in the back of your mind what is going to happen...sometimes it makes it hard to even be excited! But I am definitely grateful to have made it this far..and am really looking forward to a heart beat...

Siggy says everything so far. I go for beta 3 on Wednesday, and then the RE will determine when we have my first ultrasound (as soon as he thinks he can spot something). Then.... I guess they kick me out and send me back to my OB...

Hi ladies! I'm still lurking you all and glad we had some more bfps recently! Hope to see lots more soon! Hugs and I miss you all!

Well I am 8w today! It still doesn't feel real sometimes! I had an ultrasound yesterday and heartbeat was at 170! :-) We had a little nerve-racking moment because after I was leaving I pulled out my pic from last week just to see how much bigger baby is and the measurements said the same! I started getting really nervous and went back to ask if we could talk to the nurse again. She sat down with us and looked at everything; she said it looks like last week the other nurse measured us too big and that everything looks good. Thea heartbeat went from 131 to 170 so she thinks everything is okay. Of course this has had me worrying! I am hopeful everything is alright and I'm starting to wonder if too many ultrasounds is causing me more stress since I'm comparing everything each week.

Anyway, I'm glad everything looks good and the heartbeat is strong! I'm trying to tell myself at this point we have a very high chance the pregnancy will continue and I'm trying to relax! It's hard though!

We are starting to talk names and I'm pinning lots of nursery ideas for the room. We will be finding out the sex so we are going to wait until then to decide anything for sure though. My next appointment is next Friday and then I will probably be released to my OB. I might switch to a new one but it's so hard to know if you like someone until you have an appointment with them!

QOTW: I agree about the PAIF brain. I am still anxious and thinking this is "too good to be true" sometimes but other times I'm super excited. Also, I think what's been surprising for me is that the symptoms start so early! (not complaining because mine have been pretty mild actually) but I didn't realize other than morning sickness that they start so soon! I get up in the night a lot to pee!
