BFP... and I'm terrified

I found out I was pregnant at the very beginning of August, first pregnancy, my husband and I had been trying for a few months, and I was ecstatic. Unfortunately I miscarried shortly after at around 5 weeks. My hcg levels dropped immediately to almost 0 and the doctor told us we could start trying again right away, and we did, because I felt it was important to help me move forward. Now for the past few days I've been feeling like I was when I was pregnant (sore boobs, exhausted, mild nausea), and I haven't gotten my period yet, so on a whim and a weird hunch, I took a test and was astounded to read "pregnant" right on the digital test. I'm in shock, and I'm thrilled, but now I'm just so scared to be happy. This has been such a whirlwind. Any advice to calm my nerves? Thanks ladies. <3

    Congrats on your positive!! Welcome to the board. A lot of women find the mantras posted at the top of the board helpful for calming nerves. Just remember to breathe :)

    Welcome, I'm in the same boat as you, early BFP and I m/c'd very early in my first pregnancy. I read those mantras and try and keep them in mind when I feel scared. GL and hoping for healthy happy nine months for you!

    Congrats and welcome! It's tough, but definitely repeat the mantras of this board. It helped me survive the 12wks so far. Today, you are pregnant :D.
