WWF14D: rainy beach weekend

DH, LO, and I were supposed to take our first trip this weekend -- a few hours drive to the beach. Now, looking at the weather, it looks like it may rain all weekend. We have until midnight tonight to cancel our hotel. Should we??

I wouldn't mind cool or some rain, but being cooped up in a hotel room all weekend with LO and not all of out normal supplies doesn't sound very fun. But we were looking forward to this...

    Does the hotel have an indoor pool? That would be fun! Or there is probably some nice coffee shops you could walk to or new restaurants to try for lunch, etc!

    I would go. Even cooped up in a hotel room is fun for me because it's somewhere different and a new scenery.

    We are in the middle of a week at the beach and it rained Sunday - Tuesday. Today was our first nice day. We have a large rental house with a huge screened in porch and that's made it so much better. I probably would have gone nuts if we were in a hotel room. I'm not opposed to walking in the rain, and we went to the playground, the library, out to eat, etc., but a beach destination is not as fun in the rain. I'd reschedule if I were you.

    Bah!  I'm so torn...  I wouldn't mind so much if it were just me and DH, but I don't know how many indoor things there are to do with LO. I keep hoping it'll clear up and be nice at least part of the time. @sdlaura -- I'm scared to postpone because it's starting to get cool already. Silly reverse global warming!

    We kept our reservation, so fingers crossed it's nice at least part of the time we're there!
