Wednesday whining..

I woke up at 5:20 to pee and I had to get up at 6 to shower. Well DH leaves at 6 so I decided to go ahead and shower so if LO woke up (he was snoring when I woke up) DH could tend to him. I'm just starting to shave my legs and he wakes up SCREAMING. I'm guessing he reached for the boob and it was gone so cue scream. DH couldn't get him calmed down so my shower was cut short and I cut myself shaving. ) : great way to start my day.

Re: Wednesday whining..

  • Not much going on here. Neva woke up at 4:10 due to teething pain. She went back down around 4:45 after some Tylenol, but I could not fall back asleep. She woke up at 6:30 for the day. I might take a nap when she naps.

    @peachsmama sorry you cut yourself!

  • @mamasoup030‌ I wouldn't be okay with that either. Our DC doesn't move them up until they are 15-18 months so they are all down to one nap.
  • @JoeLies Yep, exactly. Now that he can get around okay they take him out to play with the big kids here and there so he gets used to the outdoor play, and then once he gets closer to transitioning he'll start spending an hour in the other class each day for a week or two.

    @mamasoup030 I agree. It's asking a lot of a baby that age.

    @Mommyxtwo1113‌ let us know what happens with C's Immunology visit.
  • With LO's history of wheezing, this entero-virus going around is scaring the bejessus out of me... It's in most of the states surrounding Nebraska... and I read a local article saying it will come to Neb.

    Hold me...

  • Layla has a horrible diaper rash, at least that is what I think it is. Her labia is just so red and raw. She screams at every diaper change. We had a yeast infection at like 4 months, but never anything like this. I've tried no diaper to air her out, a&d, and (I know, I know) baby powder.... What works best for you LO's? I'm theory I think it needs to stay dry to heal, but I also want to put a barrier like A&d to protect it. What do you think? We stopped using wipes and are now just using wash clothes.

    @mskatiep we only get diaper rashes when we are doing ABX so we have only dealt with the yeast. Washcloths instead of wipes like you are doing, naked time as much as you can, feed her yogurt once a day and give her a probiotic if you think it is yeast. @meeshkaroni said she had success with Lotramin for a yeast rash. I would still use A & D to protect her skin and give her a little relief.
  • Oh, and no more baby powder, especially if it's yeast. We also did warm baking soda baths and that seems to help.
  • @klongoria11‌ I actually still have the second tube of cream for the original yeast infection. It just doesn't "look" like yeast which is why Ihhaven't used it yet. @cagoldi I'll stop the powder and give more naked time. She eats yogurt almost everyday already, but I will find a probiotic. She has been having around 8 small loose bowl movements a day for the last 3 days, I think her skin is just raw, but hell Idk. I'd post a pic, but I'd probably get into some type of trouble...

  • @Mommyxtwo1113‌ PM me if you like. I'll be running around with A but will check when I can. I'm not happy to hear that she is sick but glad you finally have some answers.

    Our pedi recommended bag balm when G had a really bad rash. We would put the bag balm on first to help protect the skin from moisture and then would use extra strength butt paste on top. The bag balm really helped it from getting worse, it acts as a moisture barrier. I would pat his bum dry with a little toilet paper to get rid of the moisture at changes. I just tried to pile on as much bag balm and cream as I could to keep the moisture off his bum. I hope it gets better soon!

  • @TJHine‌ same over here! It's not hard, but I think the real poop consistency is just startling and new for her

    I think that's the same for T. He looks like he doesn't understand why he has to work harder and he does not like it!
  • What is a bento box?
  • Guys, random question. Do your babies actually sit still when you read to them? Everytime I attempt to read to L he either tears the pages out or climbs away from me. He hates all the books!

    Ha ha nope. She closes the book and moves away.

  • Si had such a rough time tonight. He just was completely exhausted and fighting sleep for all he was worth. All he wanted to do was pull up on things but he was so tired he couldn't.

    DH held and rocked him while he sobbed and sobbed and sobbed. Broke both our hearts.

    Poor guy. I'm sorry. Fwiw I'm rocking Luke right now for the same reason.
  • My front right tire is leaking air..I'd be happy if it turns out to be a hole that can be patched but I'm pretty sure the wheel itself is bent causing air to slowly escape for it doesn't seal correctly anymore. All because of the fucking potholes on the road..thank you MI.
