Hudson's Heart

I don't know this family--I don't even live in the same state as them--but my heart broke when I saw this news story about them.  Their sweet July baby, Hudson, is in need of a heart transplant.  Facebook wouldn't promote one of the posts because of the "graphic" image of the poor baby.


I don't know about you guys, but there's a super special place in my heart for all the July '14 babies. I hope little Hudson is able to get the transplant he needs, and I'll be keeping him in my thoughts and prayers.  I know we have lots of wonderful people on this board, so let's send them lots of love!  (Their facebook page is called Hudson's Heart if you so wish to Like them there to follow them and give support.)

    So sad :(  IMO Facebook is being ridiculous. I think it shows the severity of Hudson's situation, and could really help provide people with some sort of awareness if they allowed the picture. Thoughts and prayers for Hudson and his family!

    My heart breaks for this family. Praying little Hudson gets the transplant he so desperately needs.

    Oh no!!! I hope the artificial one can see them through until they can get him a transplant! I can't even mentally go there.

    Poor baby... All my prayers. I too am so thankful for my baby and her health, but I hate hearing of other people with seriously ill or angel babies... It makes my heart ache for them.

    @TricksyPixie‌ I've had it hit super close to home in my family, and whenever I see a sick baby, my heart breaks all over again and I grieve.

    I can't even imagine what this poor family is going through.  Prayers go out to the family and adorable Hudson.  He was born just 1 day after my LO and I can't even go there. :-(  My parents lost their first child at 4 months because of a hole in her heart, something that could be fixed with today's technology.  Heartwrenching - hoping the artificial heart beats strongly for him until they find a donor.

    So many prayers for this sweet boy and his family.  I haven't read it yet, as I have to go to a meeting, but I for sure will tonight.

    I've had this type of thing hit close to home as well - my sister lost her 5 week old two years ago. Anytime I see something like this my heart aches terribly. Thoughts and prayers with them - Hudson is only one day older than my baby girl. Can't even imagine going through that with her! I hope they find him a heart.

    Update! They found a donor for baby Hudson so he will be getting his heart either tonight or in the next day or two! While that is amazing news for that family, it's with a heavy heart that we have to remember that it means someone else is grieving for their lost little one.

    Whoever the family is that decided to make the gift of life in this time of grief, they are truly angels.
