Confused- big time

Hi ladies, so my mom has me pretty confused, and hopefully you can clear some things up!

I am 8 wk 6 days today, graduated from my RE all healthy! Does this mean that I am 8 weeks done and 6 days into my 9th week?! Am I almost in my 10th week? Then why is my bump app saying my baby is in the 9th? Or am I just starting my 9th week tomorrow? I am so sorry for making this into a tongue twister, it probably isn't even this complicated. I'm just confused if I missed a week, and now when I stop my crinone! Thanks girls for clarifying

    I think that when you hit a certain week, that means you've completed that many weeks. So at 8w6d, you've completed 8 weeks and are 6 days into your 9th week, almost into your 10th week. Pretty sure at least!

    This confused me at first too - because it kept putting me ahead a week, when the doc's offices didn't. There should be a setting where you can change to "current week" or "weeks completed." The default on both my apps was the next week. I chose weeks completed, so it's the number of weeks you're actually done with. Therefore, yours would say 8 (since you're 8 + 6 today), but tomorrow, it will would 9 (technically 9 + 0). HTHs :)

    It's sort of like birthdays - 1 and a half years means you are one year done and halfway through your second year of life. So a first birthday party is celebrating one year of completed life, and the day after is the first day of your second year of life.
