B/c I really haven't gotten enough of talking about snacks....

This isn't about school, I promise. :) My choir director just texted me b/c apparently we're starting our first rehearsal tomorrow night with a bit of a social hour (wine, desserts, appetizers), and he asked me if I could bring an appetizer. For things like this I'd normally bake something b/c I always have baking ideas, but apparently that's covered and I have zero inspiration. :( So, what would you make for a crowd of 40ish adults that would go well w/ wine and desserts? Extra points if it's easy and quick to make and if it doesn't require heating (though that could be do-able....) TIA!! :)

  • Caprese salad.  Grape tomatoes, the little balls of mozzarella (bocinni??), chopped up basil - toss it all in a big bowl with oil, vinegar, and some sea salt.  Super easy, and always a big hit.

You could also do this on sticks (skewers) and it's so cute! Grape tomato, mozzarella ball, artichoke, olive, etc..

    Cheese platter?

    Prosciutto wrapped asparagus

Cold spinach dip with veggies and bread/crackers

My friend just made little toasts with goat cheese and fig that was amazing

Are you looking to do cold or hot??

Cold ideally, though hot isn't out of the question.

Thanks for the ideas, ladies....feeling more inspired already! :)

  • The winners are @dmartin726 and @mamaalysson....I decided to do the Caprese salad on skewers! They were really quick to do and are looking snazzy....and the best part is there are leftover mozzarella balls! :)
