So I know the whole wait to give them honey thing. Well DH got DS some of the Annie's honey bunny grahams. Didn't even think about it until DS was eating some just now, but are these a no no?
I have no idea, but I would think they're ok? I thought the whole thing with honey was the botulism concern - could you get botulism from crackers? I would think it would only be from eating straight real honey from the jar/bottle. I could be wayyyy wrong though.
Thanks @PixiesDust. I am always paranoid when DH gets things for DS. He was trying to give him sweet tea the other day. Smh...
sweet tea is a no-no but cookies are ok?
Tea has caffeine.
This. I'm assuming the Annie's are like graham crackers which I don't consider to be a real cookie. Certainly something to eat in moderation but not a cookie. Sweet tea is caffeinated and had waay more sugar.
Yeah, I wouldn't call Annie's graham crackers cookies.
This.
I am certainly no anti-carber and I love some Annie's honey bunnys...but they have approximately the same amount of sugar by weight that keeblers chocolate chip deluxe cookies have. They are cookies--just good ones that don't have a lot of extra "stuff" in them. Just flour and sugar
I had a bag of m &ms at 4:00 as a treat for almost getting through another day of work. It's the small things, folks.
I bought some candy corn but had to throw away after snarfing down 2 handfuls in .36 seconds. I have a candy corn problem.
Ugh me too! I bought a big mixed bag with the pumpkins in them the other day, bad idea. Ate like 1/2 a bag, wanted to throw up and then forced my husband to take the rest to work since I have no will power. I do this every.single.year.
Actually, pasturized honey can contain botulism spores, too. Pasteurization is not a high enough temp to kill the spores, and pasteurization actually kills some health benefits of honey. #teamrawhoney
I'm sure you'll be fine bc botulism is very rare, it's just not something you want to regularly give your infants. It really only affects very young babies, I think it's under 6 months, but to be safe, one year is the reccomendation.
