Ok moms, this seems to be the one area I am lacking. Was talking with DC yesterday about LO and she is laughing and giggling at DC. I cannot get her to giggle or laugh at home. we have a few toys around the house but am looking at getting her some more. what I have is the piano play mat, an exersaucer, rattles, a few soft crinkle toys, some chimes and a sophie. I am thinking about getting some blocks for her as well. Her closet doors are mirrored so we do sit in front of that periodically.
I am starting to feel bad because I just do not know how to play with a child this young. HELP!!!! any other toys you would suggest?

Just keep trying what you're doing. That's what I'm gonna do. And in the meantime, I look forward to the day when I make LO laugh the most.
As others have said, generally toys alone won't get a laugh, it's me interacting and being dramatic that gets the giggles! Kissing/eating feet, raspberries on her cheeks, silly noises, pretending the cuddly toys are going to get her etc
I do have a lot of face time with her, she does grin real big when I do raspberries on her belly and eat her neck or feet. she grins when I sing to her and loves to play patty cake and the bumble bee song. She has laughed once when Gammy was holding her and the dog licked her face, I was in the other room pumping and was so sad cause by the time I got in there she had stopped... I just cant get her to laugh at me. I guess she will in her own due time.
Ass far as interaction, we stack blocks, bang things together, and sing songs.
