AH: One year ago today...

One year ago today I had my egg retrieval. One year ago today William was conceived. Along with all of his "brothers and sisters in the freezer" (as my wife and I have taken to saying at home). Life is so different now. This little boy has totally changed my life, the way I see the world, what I want from life... in all of the best ways possible. Being a mom is the most amazing experience that I have ever had. I never expected to love it this much. I literally cannot wait to meet Will's siblings. We talk about it all the time. One year ago today my life changed forever.

I am feeling very reflective about it, so I thought I would indulge in this post.

This feels like a day that I want to celebrate every year. The day we became moms and started building the family that we dreamed about...

Part of me was hesitant to post this, because I know we have friends here who are struggling with TTC or struggling with loss, or just struggling... but we have always said as a community that we will support each other during the difficult times and celebrate with each other the joys we experience in life. Today I feel joyful, and I just really wanted to share.

Thank you all for being a part of this wonderful space here, where I feel I have a place to park my thoughts and feelings among friends.

Me - 30, My wife - 31 , Together for 10 yrs - Married August 2012

5 medicated IUIs w/ RE (March - July 2013) = BFN

Fresh IVF Cycle in September 2013 resulted in 18 mature eggs, 16 fertilized, 12 made it to day 5. Transfer of 2 Grade A blastocysts on 9/15/13, and 10 embryos in the freezer!      *****BFP on 9/25/13 - betas: @10dp5dt = 232; @12dp5dt = 465; @15dp5dt = 1,581   *********William George born June 4, 2014*********

    Yay for Will & Co.! I remember you having your ER, and being so happy you had such an astoundingly successful cycle! Congrats, and we'll all be excited to meet Will's siblings, too. :)
    Lil'mamaz was born on Aug 21, 2014! She's PERFECT!

    June'12 - First RE Visit
    Sept. '12 - Tubes removed
    Dec. '12 - Donor Egg/Donor Sperm IVF Cycle - 4 good embies!
    Dec. '12 - Fresh transfer, BFP! EDD 8/29/13
    Mar. '13 - Missed m/c at 16w1d, baby boy stopped growing at 15w4d
    Loss due to umbilical cord clot...baby was perfect. :(
    Jul '13 - FET#1 - c/p
    Sept. '13 - FET#2 - BFN
    Dec.' 2, 2013 - FET#3 with our last chance embie - BFP!!!
    Dec' 26, 2013 - hb!!
    EDD 8/20/14 with a baby girl!
    Little S was born on 8/21/14 - 8lb, 14 oz and 20 inches long.
    We live in Seattle and used SRM for our donor egg IVF cycle

    I love this post. Will is a lucky little man to have such loving moms. ER day/conception day is truly the big turning point in life. Everything is so different and wonderful now!

    After 10 months of ttc via medicated IUIs and two early losses, we finally got our boys- Perfect premie twins born 5/27/14.

    Seems like it was yesterday to me! You celebrate and spread your joy all you want! I'm so happy that you have your Will and am looking forward to potentially getting KU'd with you again next summer! :)

    What a journey. It makes me tear up a little knowing we get to share in so many journeys. I feel connected to your journey especially (we were IUI buddies at one point and shared many an email off the bump) and I want to thank you for sharing this journey with all of us.

    Queer coupled and having a BABY with the love of my life! Love my life and wouldn't have it any other way!

    1st Ultrasound 4/22/2014 Baby Squints is PERFECT! Measuring at 6w2d with a heartbeat of 129. EDD: 12/12/14.

    Ultrasound at 18 weeks on 7/14/2014. Baby is healthy and growing just as she should!

    That's an awesome memory/reason to celebrate.... J and I took silly pictures while waiting for our transfers and I always thought it'd be fun having those if we did get pregnant. We actually still have them. Knowing me, I'd definitely celebrate this day too!!

    Wow - so much has changed in this past year - starting with that one fateful day!!  I love seeing pics of Will and hearing about your parenting journey, but it nice to celebrate beginnings too.  :-)
