More bad news

My Dad is now in the hospital with a bowel obstruction. He will possibly need surgery. He is local but my Mom says not to try and bring L to the hospital. I am a total mess. With everything else going on, I did not need to deal with this by myself. Please if you pray, please pray for my Dad.

Thanks. Still waiting for admit and CT. They gave him meds for pain and he is sleeping.

DH's Uncle is not doing well at all. The Dr's have lost his heart 4 times and brought him back. He is barely hanging on. I am waiting for a call from DH with more concrete news.

Yeah, I would imagine L wouldn't be allowed anywhere in the hospital except the waiting room (that was the case when my dad had his emergency surgery recently....my sister sat with the twins there while I talked to him for like 5 minutes). Maybe you could either get a sitter or ask a helper to just sit w/ him in the waiting room for a few minutes if you wanted to visit your dad? (I don't know how far you are from your hospital, so this might be unreasonable, I realize). Either way, is there anyone you can reach out to during this time so you don't have to be completely alone? I'm sorry you're going through all this.

I've been reaching out to good friends. My Mom will be able to come outside the hospital and be with L if I need to go down there. My Dad doesn't want me there at the moment. He hasn't been admitted yet and they are waiting for the CT to happen. I'm only about 15 mins from the hospital.

I'm sorry. Hope he heals quickly. Definitely don't take L to the hospital though. If you need to go, find a sitter

I'm so sorry you guys are going through this right now. I'll be saying a prayer for your dad. Hopefully someone can come watch LO so you can go see him.
