FTM random questions...

I have a few questions that don't pertain to just one subject so any feedback will be awesome... Here goes:
1. When you go for a walk do you strap in LO in the car seat or just place him/her in it?
2. When you thaw breastmilk do you have to use it all or can you store some away again in the fridge for the next feeding?
3. I'm 4 wks PP and when I pump sometimes I only get 1-1 1/2ounces per boob, is that normal?
4. When you wear LO at the grocery store do you put him/her on in the parking lot? (Im new to wearing baby and embarrassed to struggle in public lol)
5. LO will sleep like 1-2 hrs at night in his co sleeper but will sleep longer in his swing, is it ok to let him sleep at night in it?

Any other random questions would also be appreciated... We all learn from each other...thanks in advance

  • How often did your LO sleep at 2WO? My guy just hangs out awake for most of the mornings. He doesn't fuss, won't take a paci, but just sits there awake. Normal? I thought he should be sleeping more during the day?

  • Thanks ladies... At 2 WKO he slept like 3-4 hrs at night in his co sleeper... During the day he naps like 30min-1 hr at a time only in my arms... He is alert for a bit of the day but not too much of it..today he actually napped in his swing while swaddled for 2 hrs and I was in heaven
  • I put baby on in the parking lot, but that's because I don't have enough hands to carry baby and toddler wrangle on the way inside. ;)

  • 1. Usually strap in, but not tight like we were in the car

    2. Once thawed, use it within 24 hrs. Once baby's mouth has been on it (like didn't finish a bottle) I'd use within an hour or so

    3. Depend how often/what time you're pumping, when is it in relation to baby's last feeding?

    4. Yes, I take her out of car seat and into carrier there at the car

    5. At this age, do what gets you all the most sleep, that's safe. Swing is safe.

I agree with all of this. I would caution that one time we started driving somewhere with DD not strapped in was bc she had been sitting in her car seat unbuckled (in the stroller). Neither of us noticed she wasn't buckled until my spidey sense got me to pull over a short distance down the road. Now we strap DS in every time we put him in there.
