AW: UPDATE 6 weeks- no symptoms

Update:

Had the ultrasound today and it was better than I even hoped! Baby measured perfectly at 6w 4d with heartbeat of 129 bpm!!! I am so excited. Our last three pregnancies we never got the heartbeat. Our first we did, but she stopped growing at 9 weeks. Not out of the woods just yet, but I choose to stay hopeful :)

My next appt isn't until Oct 17 at 12 weeks so I just have to keep myself from stressing in the meantime, haha! Thank you again for letting me know no symptoms is nothing to worry about :)

**************
I'm six weeks as of yesterday, but still no symptoms. I've been trying to ignore it, but today DH is gone and I'm alone with thoughts :(. Any other ladies out there have success stories of no symptoms this early? I have a scan on Tuesday. Pray there's a little "sweet pea" jumping around in there! :)

Re: AW: UPDATE 6 weeks- no symptoms

  • Yup, no symptoms at ALL for me until almost 7.5-8 weeks. And even then, they came and went. I know it's hard but try not to focus on the symptoms! (Hugs)

  • I am 12 weeks and I had almost no symptoms. Just sore boobs and tired. Very little nausea some food aversions and even those came and went. I know it's hard to not worry but just try to relax.
  • I too have been pretty much symptom free. Just sore boobs & frequent urination. Definitely different from my other 2 pregnancies. However I have read that for some people the pregnancies get easier especially if they're close together. I had 1 episode of pink spotting this morning and now I'm a nervous wreck. I don't have a scan until Friday. Hoping it's good news
  • I was completely symptom-free with DS and he's a healthy 23-month-old. I think I started to have a few food aversions around 8 or 9 weeks but that's it.

  • Try not to read in to symptoms too much. I know it's hard- I'm trying to take my own advice. With my first 2 pregnancies I only ever had mild evening nausea and was tired (never threw up once) and I had 2 healthy full term babies. My most recent pregnancy I was nauseous all day long for weeks, spent a good part of my days dry heaving in the bathroom, couldn't eat almost anything....and then lost the baby. Symptoms (whether you have them or not) are just another part of PgAL that I'm trying to not stress over. (I'm 5w today and so far nothing except being tired).

  • I consider myself pretty much symptom free this entire pregnancy. The symptoms I did have were mild and only lasted for 2 days max. I would have one day of extreme fatigue and then nothing the next. I never had any morning sickness or food aversions. The heightened sense of smell has yet to happen (I'm 28wks today). The only consistent frequent symptom I've had is hunger, but it also comes and goes in spurts. I might have to eat everything in sight and feel like there's a bottomless pit for a couple of days, then the hunger goes away. It might not return for another month, then another 2 days of bottomless pit.

I won't lie, not having symptoms made me bonkers at times. I'm doing much better now that I can feel LO moving around.  So hang in there, lack of symptoms really means nothing!

  • I just started having queasy and tired symptoms. Which is a nice change from the first two pregnancies where I was throwing up every few hours. No symptoms now after a MC scares me too but I'd rather have no symptoms if given the choice. And like an earlier post said symptoms doesn't necessarily mean a healthy pregnancy. And yes I too am typing this and trying to also take my own advice!

  • I had no symptoms during my first trimester. No ms, no sore boobs, just a little less energized. Having no symptoms drived me crazy, something I found SO helpful was reading the mantras.
  • OP, I feel like I could have written this post several weeks ago. I did not have any nausea until about 8 weeks, and even then it came and went and was not severe. I had sore breasts in the very beginning but they went away pretty quickly. I had my first ultrasound at 8 weeks and was actually surprised to see a little peanut because I just didn't really feel pregnant and didn't have the symptoms others talked about. I'm now 12w5d along and as of last Thursday I had a very cute, very active little baby in there. Hang in there until your ultrasound!

  • My symptoms come and go...except for ALWAYS having to pee (which stared in week 7-8). Also compared to many women I feel I am getting by a lot easier. I only got REALLY sick for 2 days around week 8 (of course I was so sick I was in the ER). Then that terrible terrible sickness came as quickly as it went....which also worried me lol. Anyway not every woman is like those way exaggerated stories in the movies :). Did you get some beta draws?

This was the same for me!!!  I kept praying I would start to feel horrible, and awful, and then sure enough around 7.5 weeks came the nausea and extreme fatigue.  It was on-again-off-again for me as well until about week 14, then symptoms disappeared altogether which was frustrating and a big reason why I got my doppler, so that I could check on my little dude.  I don't use it anymore because he moves around so much and that calms my PgAL brain (somewhat).  ((((HUGS)))) hang in there, I know it's hard!
