Lower abdomen pressure

FTM here, reading too much into things I'm sure. I will call my doctor in the morning, but wanted to hear from you ladies.
The last few nights I've had a lot of tight pressure in my lower abdomen. It isn't like normal RLP and isn't what I would think to be cramping. I have no spotting. I do feel like my belly just popped out in the last few weeks and I'm sure it is just from that growth. Has anyone experienced the same? Or any STMs+ know what I'm referring to?

I wouldn't say rock hard, no. But the whole thing has been getting harder it seems. I feel so ignorant!!

ETA: when I'm walking around it's pretty constant. Not painful, just pressure. When I sit or lie down I feel much better. So that's what I do....

The way you described it sounds like mild Braxton hicks but I get a feeling of pressure that cause RLP type discomfort when the baby had his/her back towards my abdomen and is pushing out (I hope that description makes sense). The only reason I can tell that it's the baby is that the hard spot is about the size of my hand and moves.

@jennhillhoite‌ that does make sense. And reading about BH does make me think that maybe y'all are right. And I read that it is normal to have them around this time already? Seems insane!!!!

Usually it is harder and more pressure on the right side (baby A). I wonder if that's normal. OMG. So many questions.

I've experienced this too, but just thought it was normal since everything is getting rearranged in there. There is definitely more pressure and "fullness" on my left side though.

sounds like BH contractions to me. first pregnancy mine started at 14 weeks, this time they started at 10!! not too early for this baby!!

I went to my OB's office for my quad screen today and saw the nurse practitioner. She was concerned when I told her I thought I'd had some Braxton Hicks last week and after I described them (sounds a lot like what you're describing) she did a cervix check.

Everything was fine. She told me I shouldn't be having BH yet. However, given what I've heard from other people on here it sounds like this kind of cramping or contracting may be "common" but is not necessarily "normal". She told me that my uterus probably just gets irritable about things like being dehaydrated and/or doing too much and when I have those sensations it's a cue to drink some water and rest.

To me it just kind of sounds like the babies are pushing on things that you are not used to being pushed on. I am not a doctor but I have had 2 babies. I felt like this a lot later on in my pregnancies but you are having twins so it could be happening sooner.

This is me too! Mine is actually a little painful and I was thinking it might have been the pressure and stretching occurring around my c section scar since that is where the pulling type pain comes from... Was going call the ob nurse in the am just so my doc is in the loop.

I'm going to do like @PeaceofKia‌ said and call my doctor just to keep him in the loop in the morning. I have an appointment next Monday, so I'm sure everything will be addressed then.
I do think it probably Has something to do with dehydration now that you mention it @HeyStVincent because I haven't been as great with my water recently.
I'm worried because I go out of town alone on Thursday for dog sport stuff and that can be quite exhausting when NOT pregnant.....

I have had this as well and I notice it is worse when dehydrated, bladder is even slightly full, or I have been sitting in one position for too long. My doctor said it was RPL and everything is growing and moving very fast int here. I was told not to worry unless there is a rhymic pain, a great deal of pain, spotting etc... It still freaks me out when it happens.

Talking to your doctor sounds like a good idea... hope it gets better!

I called my doctor and the nurse assured me that everything is just as normal as can be. Drinking more water and getting as much rest as possible is the only solution right now. Things are just stretching and pulling and growing.

That does sound like braxton hicks tbh I get it too and just after sex my uterus gets tight and hard too you can feel them early not as much but you are getting them at this stage

That's great @kkleigh10! I used to do a large amount of pet sitting and dog walking, but quit when I had more than one dog and nobody to care for mine when I was gone. (Obviously before DH).

@kefttsc lol, no I didn't I was way too busy at work to even remember to call. Although, I didn't have the pain or pressure today (yet) so I'm chalking it up to normal pregnancy stuff. You'd think me be a STM with this, I'd know...each time feels like the first time apparently...

@kefttsc I have had it for a couple of weeks now, OB says its RLP. That combined with a UTI had my in the ER this weekend. It scared the crap out of my but I got told that I had 2 growing in a space built for 1. My OB told me around this time is when twin moms start to complain of discomfort.

@HeyStVincent Thank you!!! My friend is running the two border staffies for me this weekend because they are just TOO much. One is a handful to hold on to in the lanes and the other jumps all over me and snaps and lunges. I will be running the baby, as he is much easier and is more confident when he's with his momma.

(for those that are now thinking my dogs are aggressive freaks, they are freaks, but not aggressive

when we get in the lane for flyball, they are ALL business and are going NUTS.)

@chickyclg I am SO reassured to hear that this is normal, especially for MoMs at this point. I really feel like I have all of a sudden expanded.....I guess they have too! Are you feeling better after this weekend, I hope??
