  Yes indeed, I got pregnant while nursing.

  My TTC History:

  2009: missed miscarriage #1 at 9 weeks (trisomy 16)
  2010: Infertility

  2011: Diagnosis and treatment (low sperm count, anastrozole for DH, clomid for me + IUI)

  2012: Baby #1

  2014: Baby #2
  October 2015: missed miscarriage #2 at 11 weeks (trisomy 22)

  March 2016 BFP#5, due November 2016.

  I'm still nursing both #1 & #2, pregnant with #3.

  I got pregnant while nursing #1. It didn't take any longer to conceive #2 than #1. Nursed through pregnancy and am currently nursing both baby and toddler. There was some nipple pain in second tri but I decided to push through since dd wasn't ready to wean. On the plus side, I had no nipple pain when ds was born.

  I know several women that have gotten pregnant while EBF; it's not a reliable form of birth control. My SIL got pregnant 3 months pp, and my neighbor 4 months pp. Both EBF, both quite surprised at being pg. Use actual BC if you don't want to get pregnant.
  
  My SIL had her DD reject the breast at 4-5 months, we assume because her milk changed in taste. My neighbor was still able to nurse her DD until close to the end of her pregnancy, then weaned her before DD2 was born when DD1 turned 1.
