  • Not yet but I'm excited to start some booties and a blanket! I'm waiting to find out the sex to do hats or headbands
  • Honestly I'm afraid if I start anything before 2nd tri I'll jinks everything so I'm holding off. We also haven't decided on anything color or theme whose yet, so once we have all that I'll surely go bonkers and crochet ALL the adorable baby stuffs!

  • the only thing I've really started is the "what about this one" name game with my husband... and looking up nifty things I can make out of retired turnout gear for him/her and our other kids or for me (like a diaper bag since I'm disappointed in the practicality of most anymore, but there's no way I'll ever pay more for a diaper bag than I pay for a good quality winter coat...)

...I hadn't even thought about that!! I'd have to find some out of service nomex though, because mine is sooooo soft, but still good, so it won't be making the sacrifice!! I'm all-up-on etsy checking out adorable little firefighter outfits for the first pictures too... and will probably have a billion ideas to go along with that.
I may order a callsign tag too... it's awesome that I'm due in 2015 because I'm a member of station 15!

  • Very cute. I want to learn of to knit but have never gone the next step of actually trying. I love little baby hats. Those who knit, did someone teach you or were you self taught and if self taught, any recommendations?

  • I knit my daughter a blanket while pregnant with her (a pretty cornflower blue because I thought she'd be a boy....turns out her favorite color is blue do I win!). We just decided today that we won't be finding out the sexes of these twins, but I'll be doing some pretty teal and grey blankets for them (maybe in a reverse design). And I can't wait to learn how to crochet some little booties and hats!
  • I've crocheted a gender neutral blanket in cream, yellow, and a sea salt color... excited to make more!

  • I made DS a knitted blanket in aqua, yellow and periwinkle blue. I will wait to find out the sex before making one for this lo. I'm pretty convinced it's a boy but who knows?!?
