My day off. Took the girls to the park. Now were eating lunch, then nap time. There is a mom there who babysits and had 6 kids under 3, all except 1 in diapers. She was stretched a little thin trying to keep an eye on all these toddlers trying to kill themselves on the park equipment. I kind of adopted 2 and kept them by me. I felt bad for the kids. And the mom. Kind of awkward, tho.
I have spent the morning sucking water out of my basement from the rain we are getting. The storm drain in front of my neighbors house keeps getting plugged and the water overflows into my front yard and into my basement windows. We had four cops plus two city mantinence crews here this morning trying to get the storm drain cleared. Im so tired of this happening because the stupid storm drain can't handle any water.

This sounds crazy! I would never attempt a park visit with my two girls and can't imagine six under three! Good for you for helping.
Emma and I went shopping this morning, I had to exchange a pair of shoes and shop for more. We had a nice mommy/daughter lunch and she was really good while I was shopping. I tried on her jeans from the end of last winter, I was delusional that they would still be long enough. We stopped at Carters for a new pair and they were on sale for $10 and I had a $10 coupon,so.. yay free jeans! Also, she was obsessed at pointing out every baby in the store and tried to scoot her stroller over to them to say hello, it was so cute and made my empty uterus ache.
I'm sooooo tired. DS2 decided that sleeping is stupid. He would not go down for more than 15 minutes at a time from 11pm to 3am - and he did not nap. I thought he was getting better at toddler bed sleeping but I guess not. DH tries to be helpful but is not. It is DS1's open house at school, I want to go but don't want to miss ds2's bed time. Open house is 6:30 to 8pm ds2 bedtime 7:30 if he gets a good nap at daycare. DH would do whatever I don't do. WWYD?

Yeah. On one hand, I don't mind, because it takes a village and all that. On the other, I felt kind of weird, because if I was one of those kids' parents, I wouldn't be happy to know my toddler was in the care of a complete stranger for like 2 hours.
Ds1 is sick. Please don't let It be the enterovirus that kc Is the ground zero for. This Is him right now won't even come out from under the blanket. Poor little guy.
@luckysquare How awful! I can't believe someone even would say that about a baby girl let alone think it was funny! I am mad for you! Your little Melanie is such a cutie!!
@LuckySquare um wow I would love to have called out this chick and made her feel like a total ass. But on the other hand I may have been so shocked I would have festered.
i think we just need to get married tomorrow and that way he can get on my insurance. at least them maybe i'tll be $2300 instead of $4,000 for ONE dental implant.
Court house wedding now, real Tahoe on the lake wedding later?
@StefanieM522 the rain has picked back up here a lot. Did you have to go back to work? Hopefully your house is ok this afternoon!
Yeah I am back at work, but my H is home making sure the basement doesn't flood again and keeping an eye on the storm drain. I know we need the water but I am so ready for the rrain to stop!!!
What the actual fuck, @LuckySquare . Want me to beat their asses? Like what possesses someome to open their mouth and say something that shitty!? Your babe is beautiful, and those fools obviously don't know how to act around people. They need human obedience school.
Human obedience school is the best idea I've heard all year.
Human obedience made me gigglesnort my Coke Zero. Holy shit that's hilarious!
I'm just catching up now. I've been feeling like shit all day. I thought I had allergies but it appears to be a full blown cold. On top of taking care of puker mcpukes baby... He actually didn't puke today but he did have a messy diaper this morning so he stayed with me today even though he has school Tuesdays. I got my car serviced and ran a few errands and fell asleep this afternoon.
Then DH called from port. This is his last port call in the middle east, ladies!!! Europe bound soon enough to start heading home!
+1 for getting married @mbm1983. H and I got married by a JOP a year before our actual wedding (mostly for insurance reasons and because I wasn't allowed to know when and where he was pulling into port not being a wife.) But we still had the big party later. Logistically it was just easier to do it right away since we were engaged anyway. I say go for it!
Our build a bear is closing! I am so mad! So we went today and A picked out a Rarity from My Little Pony and a pink bear that my Husband (texting from work) named Walt. Only spent $20!

Yeeeahh we're not having a wedding period. Neither of us cares that much.
Plus..we poor.
Well, you mentioned Tahoe wedding before. I know you weren't planning on it being some huge thing, but if it's easier and cheaper to just get married now and then do what you had in mind later, know that you wouldn't be the first

On the subject of farting, when DD hears one she laughs and says "toot! Gross!" And sometimes followed by stinky haha.
Off to shower and then head back to work.
