  • Hello!

Our little group is dwindling!  Hope we get some new BFP's soon.

We are 26w4d's and that doesn't seem possible!  We are entering the third trimester this week... What in the WHAT?!?!  And yes... buying a house on top of it has made things a little bit crazy!

Physically I am just more tired than usual.  Working to get the house packed up requires lots of breaks... but that is okay because A has been doing the pumping thing for her induced lactation protocol.

My biggest complaint right now, is my chest size.  It is growing and growing... and I apparently have nipple vasospasm... which are like nipple cramps, where they turn black and feel like a nightmare.  So... I can't bind like usual, because that causes the vasospasm, and not binding makes me uncomfortable with my body.  How fun!

I am also welcoming myself to the wonderful world of hand and foot swelling....!

But on the plus side, we are getting so excited for the little Squinter to get here!  Now that we have found a beautiful family home, I can really imagine her little room...  with her Mama and Baba giving her cuddles, and reading books to her.  Its all just getting very real!

QOTD:  I just want our kid to have someone who loves and respects them for who they are, with good conflict resolution skills, and a great sense of humor.  Family is also very important to us, so we hope that baby Squints finds someone who loves to be around family!

  • @doodah1013 - Yikes, your update made me wince!  My breasts are very sore (it's so constant I forget about it until C elbows me in the middle of the night on accident - OUCH).  Couldn't imagine nipple cramps :( Sorry you're going through that.  Happily, all this pain is for a very worth cause.

AFM, things appear to be going well.  I had an appointment yesterday and we got to see the squirmy little baby so that was cool.  Still waiting for my Mat21 test results which are taking for-ev-er.  I'm tired and hungry but I still feel like I just have bad PMS.  Starting to wonder when/if I'll ever start to actually feel pregnant!

And yes, we do need some more BFPs around here.  Mine was the last and I tested positive in mid-June!  It's already almost mid-September so surely someone else's time is coming :)

QOTW: I hope my child finds a partner who makes my child feel loved and special.  Someone who makes him/her laugh - that's really important.  Someone with a strong moral compass - i.e. loyal, trustworthy, compassionate, generous, puts others' needs before their own... You know, an overall good person!  I can't choose who my child falls in love with so I hope I have the strength and openness to welcome whoever he/she chooses even if it wasn't a match I'd pick myself.  As long as they're happy that's all that matters.

I just hope they find someone... my brothers are single and rely on my mom way too much.  I don't want my spouseless children to carry on clinging to C and I in their 30's!!!

  • Our group IS dwindling! I must admit that I get overwhelmed when there are so many people that I don't know at all (and can't possibly keep up with), so I just give up and don't post.

@Robertjane33 - Love that you are taking the body pillow!

@Amber&Reva - Hope your meds get to you soon; it is so stressful waiting for mediation. :(

@doodah1013 - I love your wishes for your kiddo's future family!  Those are great traits to have. For a minute I mis-read and thought you were describing the PARENT you would like them to have, and I was totally on board, thinking, "Yeah, I need to be more like that!"  I think you just described universal good traits. :)

Well, my DW is at 20w6 days and is getting BIG!  So fun to have her showing that she has a little baby in there!  She took our 17month old and flew to Oregon last week;  it was a challenge and a half just getting there!  She is currently in the air to get home to us.  Oooo, I miss them!

Baby looks good, we have a follow-up echocardiogram in a couple weeks, but mostly everything is going really well.  I was able to feel the baby kick last week (SQUEEEE!) and that makes it so fun for us both.  I really do miss being pregnant, and I get a little wistful.  Oh, well, two from this belly is enough for this old girl. :)

I'm currently thinking I should go though W's baby clothes and get rid of the really overtly boy ones.  We go gender neutral, but don't mind if they drift toward a "style" of boy or girl.  We have some hand-me-down boy stuff that I know I wouldn't put the new baby girl in.  Incidentally, DW told me her mom's friends gave her some really truly terrible baby girl clothes.

My wife said, "I was going to make my mom return them, but they are so bad I want to bring them home to show you."  I'm intrigued. If they are really good, I'll post pictures.  :)  I feel like they are going to say something like "Mommy's Future Boy-Chaser" or something. :)

The story on the other hand can never be lost from its place in the world for it is that place.” ― Cormac McCarthy, The Crossing

  • 33 Weeks today! Only 7 more to go...YIKES!

I'm definitely feeling uncomfortable these days. I'm having a lot of hip pain- especially on the left side. Last night I handled it OK until I went to bed and then I fell apart. Tears and the whole 9. C is wonderful and takes such good care of me- especially in my week moments. .

I worry about being "too much" for her and overwhelming her with all my aches/pains/emotions but she really does just take it all in stride. She says I'm doing the most important job ever and so she can handle whatever I throw her way.  That said, I just hope she realizes how very important she is. Maybe I'm the one holding the baby- but this baby wouldn't exist without her. And she's helped to make the whole pregnancy such a positive experience by being so involved and supportive.

QOTW: I guess I just answered this above :) . I want Callie to find someone like her mom. Someone that makes life fun. That helps to lift her when she's down. Someone that just makes everything seem easier simply by being present. Someone she can lean on. Someone that will also accept her help when needed. Loving. Caring. Dependable.
