Night sickness?

Any other moms to be out there only feel sick later in the day?

It's so strange to me. I feel fine when I wake up, and throughout my day, but when I get home from work and I'm winding down I start to feel really sick. Any thoughts on why this could be?

Re: Night sickness?

  • I often felt sick in the evening with DS.  This pregnancy, my abdomen and back are really sore in the evening but that is after being at work on my feet.

  • Same here. I'm just glad I can function during the day.

  • I have a similar issue that has developed. I don't feel fine all day - I'm moderately queasy during the day, but every evening around dinner time I start feeling really nauseous to the point of not being able to do anything. No idea why - but agree it is no fun!

  • Yes, it gets worse in the evening & terrible if I stay up too late. It sucks! I'm glad I'm not affected at work, but sad to lay around feeling sick during my time to spend with my H.
  • I'm in a similar boat and thinking it's just because your body is so worn out from the activities of the day on top of creating a little human! If it's too much to handle maybe talk to to your obgyn :-)
  • Am I supposed to take offense to that? Take a look in the mirror Katy! I'm actually trying to be helpful and supportive.. You women don't scare me
  • Have you been having this feeling all along? I haven't had morning sickness all along but the last couple days I feel nauseas almost all the time especially when I eat. I thought it was supposed to stop in the second trimester, not start!
  • I think everyone is different, just be glad maybe you will have less "anytime of day sickness" as some of us ;-) I've been sick for weeks!
  • I'm on the same boat + reflux. The nausea and vomiting takes a huge toll on me at night and then I'm so not into work. So tired and stressed.
  • MS starts about 3pm or 4pm for me and continues well into the night.  It's not as strong now (2nd trimester) but still there.  At least I can function now!
