Waking up dry???

So, the past three nights, my LO (4 months today) has been STTN (!!! Sound the trumpets!- but reluctantly as I know this miracle won't stick forever...).

He is sleeping from about 9-7, nursing just prior to bedtime. However, he has been waking completely dry.

His output during the day seems fine, but it is concerning as I know his little bladder must be full for hours at a time.

Anyone else?

  • Same here, we don't her that long of a stretch but I don't change her from bedtime till about 7am and she's typically pretty or completely dry. The second diaper of the morning is usually quite wet as a result. And I agree with @anniemore‌ it should be good for potty training in the future!

  • (1) I hate you and your restful night of sleep. Kidding... Sorta :)

    (2) My DS needs to talk to your LO. He woke up in the middle of the night after peeing so much it leaked out everywhere soaking him and the crib. Sigh. Like he needs another excuse to wake up. :((

  • This just happened to me last night - completely dry from 7pm - 6:45 am. I left her in the same diaper when I changed her clothes because she was still dry. Get to daycare and blue line! So wet that she soaked through (which has never happened) and I had to change her clothes at DC.

  • DS stays dry up until the early hours then floods. When I used to change him in the night he'd be dry.
  • @KBowen715 - First of all, I'm jealous that your little one is sleeping through the night, plus I'm also jealous of all PP that have babes that don't PP through the night. Ever since babe learned how to roll in his crib, and since he insists on sleeping on his tummy, he usually will wake up with wet clothes. I use the 12 hour night time stay dry diapers, and I put him in a new one right before bed, but to no avail.

Since DD learned to roll she sleeps on her tummy too. Now she's pooping over night. She and the crib were covered in it Sunday morn. Ugh!

  • DS wakes up dry a lot. This is new to me, as DS1 woke up with like a 5 lb full of pee diaper when he was little like every night. But anyway, this LO seems to hold it. But normally within 30 min or so of waking up, he has a totally soaked diaper! I think it is probably fine.

  • I'm so jealous of all the babies waking up semi dry.

I'm in the same boat as the supersoakers. My LO STTN, 8:30-6:30. And when he wakes up him and the crib are soaked!! He sleeps on his tummy now and when he rolls over and fills his diaper with pee it pushes out the top. I am currently using Luvs overnight size 2 and then also Luvs overnight size 3 on top if that to see if the bigger diaper will catch it from the top. But nope, instead he continues to wake up soaked and I continue to do his laundry every other day!
