low blood pressure...

This morning I got super light headed, sweaty and got sick a few times. I was fine about 10 minutes later. I had breakfast aboit 30 minutes earlier. Has anyone dealt with this....any suggestions for it not happening again.

Re: low blood pressure...

  • You may want to call your doctor just in case. It's probably nothing, but it's worth asking a professional.

  • We've had quite a few mommas dealing with low blood pressure and I've even had a few "spells". I would let your doctor know just to be on the safe side.

  • Definitely let your doctor know.  Mine's only recommendation was more movement to keep the blood flowing.  Also: salt.

  • Check with your dr. Stay off your back. Drink tons of water. For me ice helps too. It sucks! I get it almost every day. Good luck!!
  • My BP always starts between 90 and 112 while pregnant...  but fortunately, I feel fine.  I make sure I am well rested and have eaten well, though.  I can imagine such things help.

  • My blood pressure is normal at my appointments. Hopefully this was just a random occurrence.

Mine was low earlier in pregnancy. Talk to your doctor, they might want you to increase your sodium intake. I could be remembering wrong but I think @Maelara‌ is dealing with this?

I am! Good memory :) that sounds exactly like what I'm dealing with. Go to a pharmacy and use their machine to take your blood pressure. Let your doctor know as well because if it's too low, it can be serious. My doctor recommended increasing my salt (sodium) intake and it helps sometimes but not others. Good luck and tell your doctor!
  • I have a BP machine at home to monitor it because it's been a roller coaster. As mentioned, a little more sodium and lots of water. Have food with you every moment of the day. Mine was quite low the last few days, but even so, my OB gave me the all clear today. Basically another 'well, this sucks' symptom.
