Intro from IF; looking into embryo adoption

Hi ladies, I figured I would intro here as I've been stalking and researching a bit. We got the news today that most of our embryos from our 4th IVF cycle are multi nucleated and slow growing, which solidifies the fact that our prognosis is poor. After consulting with several REs and an embryologist we are left with the reality that no one can tell us for certain whether we need DE, DS or both. For this reason our hope is to pursue embryo adoption as a first line plan. Any resources that anyone can offer would be most helpful and appreciated.

Welcome to the board! I am so sorry for the disappointing news. We've each been at that turning point at one time or another.

I come to this board because we are using a gestational carrier, but many ladies are using DEm or DE or DS.

One of our news mamas, @liz4paws, has a great blog "Wishing on a Snowflake", that has a ton of resources.

Hello. I am more of a watcher on these boards. I haven't said much anywhere, but I can tell you I have been in a similar situation. I am currently 8 weeks pregnant with our 2 embryos "snowflakes" that were transferred on July 30. I would be more than willing to tell you my story and how we came to the decision and what it has been like. I wish you all the luck.

My DH and I used an egg donor - the process through our clinic and actually fairly easy but I don't know if it's as simplistic everywhere. A few of the steps we went through included:

Multiple blood tests & ultrasounds
Meeting with clinic psychologist
Choosing a donor (the fun part!) - we were given multiple profiles based on basic preferences such as eye color and hair color
After the eggs were secured we were able to start the transfer process

I'm sorry for the news you were given. This road can be so incredibly hard sometime.
