They do 3D shots/prints at every ultrasound I go to (have has 12 so far) so no need to book one separately. Outside of the picture I got today where LO is looking more chunky I have thought they look totally creepy.
Which if you ask the tech you are with they "might" do them at your regular visit (a 3D at least) since most facilities have at least one machine that does them (for medical purposes NOT just "fun" and may switch your room). Our hospital outfitted every exam room with them but not all techs do them and we don't advertise that we have the machines that do them either so most patients don't know.

Lucky! I had one with DS1 at 19 weeks and it was creepy. Then I got some at 31 weeks, they were cuter but he was already too big. I'm going in at 29 weeks with this one!!
