help please - plugged duct & spots

I'm so frustrated.  Just finished treatment for ductal thrush a few weeks ago and all seemed to be back to normal.  A few days ago I noticed tiny red spots all over both breasts and figured it was a heat rash kind of thing.  That's what it looked like.  Doesn't itch or anything.  Now I have a plugged duct.  I had one when I was BFing my son too and it went away with nursing/pumping/applying warmth.  I've been working on this one the same way since yesterday, but it is red and hurts! 

Any recommendations for other ways to deal with plugged duct and ideas about odd spots?

    you can also take lecithin supplements 4x per day. hot baths followed immediately by nursing has always worked well for me. drink lots of fluids and try to rest if you can.

    Try a different nursing position too, going back to football hold for a few feedings cleared a bad clog for me. I'm not sure about the redness, that could mean infection potentially, or could just be eczema or heat rash. Try going braless as much as possible when you're at home.

    I agree with different nursing position that's what worked for me with several blocked ducts! As for the redness if is also warm and hurts it might be infected! I had 2 mastitis with my first and it atarted like that! With my second i used Silverette silver cups because they prevent naturally the infections and it worked!

    Tried different positions and she did not cooperate.  Unfortunately I can't rest or take a bath or anything until DH gets back from being OOT.  I got a half of a shower this entire weekend, and had to cut that short to go look for a stuffed puppy before someone had a melt down.  I'm extremely stressed out from a ridiculously demanding 2 year old and now dealing with this.  :-(  I remember when I had a clogged duct with DS that it was red like this too.  It went away quickly though.  Didn't last more than a day.  It's not possible for me to get to a doctor today, so I guess I will just have to keep pumping/nursing/warming/etc. and just pray this works.  Thanks for letting me vent.

    When I had a clogged duct what worked for me was a hot compress, massaging, hand expressing and lots of nursing.

    Try a few minutes of dangling your nipple in some hot water. If you have a clogged pore in your nipple causing the plugged duct that could work wonders! I had yeast blocking a pore which caused mastitis and doing a short dangle and wait in a cup of hot water a few times per day (even at night before I'd feed) worked wonders! It's also not as demanding or time consuming as a shower or bath.
