Another name poll

I know there have been a ton of these posts. I've already posted this on the Baby Names board, but I'm having so much trouble deciding and I wanted to get some fresh input. I don't know if it will help us actually make a decision or not, but I thought I'd get some feedback anyway. I had a much easier time deciding with my son. I know I still have plenty of time, but no one name speaks out to me as being "the one" this time.

    I voted for Isla because it's in our final three for girls' names.  They are all really pretty names, though.

    Jane Austen name theory is based on my observation that people on the bump (and I would extrapolate to wider western culture,) currently prefer names that would fit right into Jane Austen novels. The less your name choice fits in, the worse it will fare in the polls.

    This is important to people who value social-acceptability. (The less rich you are, the more you have to care, rationally speaking....)

    Isla is one of my favorite names but my best friend named her daughter that so we won't ever use it! I also like Clara!

    @Stargirlb‌ I am a believer in your theory. I was slammed on the name board for my list and Sadie was even frowned upon because Sarah is a better choice. The name board probably said Clara was their favorite but Claire was better? Name your kid what you want. I didn't want my daughter to be one of 5 Sarah's in her class so we went with Ansley. Flame away!

    I like Isla and Clara.  My little sister's middle name is Carin, pronounced like you would Corinne, and she absolutely HATES it haha.  She threatened for years to legally change it.

    The results here are actually not too far off from the baby name board. I didn't get other suggestions there, but I didn't request them either. I was curious if Corinne would get much love here since it is so far down the list of names that are currently popular. People that I've asked IRL seem to prefer Isla. I like the simplicity of Clara. I think Isla is DH's favorite and Corinne has long been one of my favorite girl names. Pronunciation issues and spelling issues are a strike against both Corinne and Isla I think.

    I am so jealous that your H loves the name Corinne! It was my grandmother's name and I've tried really hard to get H on board with it, but he won't budge. I would use it in a heart beat.

    How do you pronounce Ansley?  I'm familiar with Ainsley, but Ansley is not one I know.  Is it ann-slee?
