1. What is your current status with CD? Experienced STM? Thinking about it? Full on addicted?

Addicted to the cute prints and little babies in Fluff pictures. FTM so no experience yet. I am a little overwhelmed by figuring out prefolds, flats and what will work for our babe.

2. What is your favorite CD you have bought?

I really love a lot of them. I love the woodland Grovia because I think my husband will use those a lot (newborn size) and I'm SUPER pumped for the 3 Little Pigs Tots Bots that I got used (because Tots Bots is just too expensive new).

3. What are you most nervous about regarding this choice?

I am nervous that a lot of our diapers wont' work well and that we will get discouraged and have wasted a bunch of money (although resale value is good). I am also worried about finding a laundry routine that works.

4. Where are you in your stash collection? A lot left to purchase? Mostly done?

Newborn I am pretty good (maybe a couple more covers) but we have a whole bunch to buy for when she is older. I want to wait to see what works best for her though (will she be skinny and long or short and chubby etc). Plus, will we really use prefolds (and will my mom who is the caregiver)?

5. GTKY: What motivated you to want to CD?

The adorable prints, environmental reasons and hopefully to save some money. Probably money was first for me and environmental was first for DH.

Cloth diapered my first from about three months through potty training.
2. What is your favorite CD you have bought?
Nothing fancy, but I love Flip covers!

Not nervous...just wonder how cloth diapering a boy might be different from a girl.

4. Where are you in your stash collection? A lot left to purchase? Mostly done?
I've made a lot of newborn covers and pockets. Still need to purchase/make a few for when he gets bigger.

5. GTKY: What motivated you to want to CD?
Mostly the $ savings. After having such success with my first, I can't imagine switching to disposables. My mom cloth diapered me, so there's a little nostalgia factor for me too.

1. What is your current status with CD? FTM, so no real experience yet. However, several friends and family have CDed in recent years, so they are helping us with their experience.

2. What is your favorite CD you have bought? We haven't bought many yet - waiting until our work showers are done and will then binge buy the pocket and AIOs that the day care requires.

3. What are you most nervous about regarding this choice? Laundry. Just got a new washer and dryer, so it will be easier but I am concerned about keeping up with the laundry since I return to work FT in January.

4. Where are you in your stash collection? A lot left to purchase? Mostly done? DH's cousin passed down her newborn stash, so we are good to go on that size Still have a good number of AIO and pockets to purchase, but we are waiting on those until the work showers are done. Can't wait to start getting fluff mail again!

5. GTKY: What motivated you to want to CD? Money saving and it seems that most kids do better with cloth (less rash, easier to potty train). I still remember watching one of our friend's kids go through potty training and use those disposible potty training diapers. Apparently, there was a chemical in the diaper that turned cold once it was exposed to water (to let the kid know that she used the bathroom) and she freaked out (started grabbing her crotch and shreaking). I don't think I want those chemicals near my kid's nether region.

I'm a FTM so I don't have experience with CDs first hand. My friend used CDs and she loved it. I'm excited to actually have a baby to try it out on!

2. What is your favorite CD you have bought?

I'm not at home so I can't show a picture, but I love how teeny the NB covers are. I only have a couple because I don't think she'll be that small. They're more of a just in case... I do have a fitted one that I'm excited to try. It just looks so easy for night time changes (I mean it all looks easy...). For the sake of cost, we'll be using the prefolds and covers the majority of the time. I have a few aios and pockets to give them a try.

3. What are you most nervous about regarding this choice?

I think I'm just nervous overall about figuring out which CDs and folds work best for us. There are just so many options out there!

4. Where are you in your stash collection? A lot left to purchase? Mostly done?

I think I'm mostly set with the smaller sizes. I decided to use mostly sized covers so I can keep them for future kids. I should have enough prefolds and aios to get me through 2 days. But thank god for online ordering so I don't have to leave the house if I need more. Also DH could run out and get some in a pinch. We have a great store that sells them.

5. GTKY: What motivated you to want to CD?

For me it was the long term money savings and having less of a chance of chemicals bothering her skin. Also the environmental impact of landfills make me feel better about CDs.

Thank you for doing the check in! Work ate my life and free time lately so sorry for not posting another check in earlier ladies.

1. What is your current status with CD? Experienced STM? Thinking about it? Full on addicted?
FTM and fully prepared. Love the prints, money saving, benefits for sensitive skin and the environment.

2. What is your favorite CD you have bought?

I would have to go with this fox cover I got for my shower....

3. What are you most nervous about regarding this choice?

The questioning and general lack of support from my family.

4. Where are you in your stash collection? A lot left to purchase? Mostly done?

Newborn stash complete (21 GM Fitteds, 5 covers, 5 FB size xs, 2 grovia, 1 BG NB, 1 Alva, 2 Lil' Joey's)
I have about 10 assorted larger sized and one size diapers. Decided to try them out and see which end up being the favorites and complete the stash with those. Will likely get some more GM Fitteds for overnight.

Sensitive skin, money and the environment

1. What is your current status with CD? Experienced STM? Thinking about it? Full on addicted?-- Experienced 4TM only have cloth diapered for the past 1.5 kiddos though (started when DD#2 was 16 months)

2. What is your favorite CD you have bought? --I've only bought one new one for DS it's a gDiapers that I had the cover embroidered with the Captain America shield (DH's favorite superhero) for his newborn pictures.

3. What are you most nervous about regarding this choice? --His circumcision... All new to this Momma of all girls!!

4. Where are you in your stash collection? A lot left to purchase? Mostly done?--Done since DD#3 was in CD from the beginning I'm pretty well set.

5. GTKY: What motivated you to want to CD?--I originally just bought some cloth diapers so that for the first 6 months or so when DD#3 was breastfed and I had 2 in diapers I wouldn't have the cost of 'sposies... But then DD#2 got a severe rash that wouldn't go away... Put a OS diaper on her and bam it was gone... I was sold and only buy 'sposies for when I'm in the hospital and the first bit back home before healed from my c-section.

@MissMandyD I have that fox print too from BB. I think it is the one with the purple edge rather than the darker edge, but I don't remember. Super cute. I can't wait to get these cute diapers OTB!!!

2. What is your favorite CD you have bought? I haven't added any new CDs to my collection, but we can aw a minute over this adorable newborn fitted diaper.

3. What are you most nervous about regarding this choice? That for some reason it won't work out and my SIL will say, I told you so.

4. Where are you in your stash collection? A lot left to purchase? Mostly done? I think I have enough covers. I do need to make sure I have enough NB ones, which I don't actually have any. I am going to go with the fitted diapers for NB as I think it would be easier for me and DH in the beginning and since they have wicking properties, there is less chance for skin irritation early on. I also need to get my prefolds, which I keep going back and forth on. I anticipate getting multiple different kinds so that I can try them out and see which ones will work best for us. I don't really want to get too many larger sized ones in case we don't end up going the CD route. I did get my Amazon completion coupon, so I plan to purchase them soon with the 15% discount.

5. GTKY: What motivated you to want to CD? For us it was environmental. We really don't agree with putting diapers in a landfill. Then there is the cost benefit in the long-term, though, this was not a main motivation, but an added benefit. Speaking of added benefits, I look forward to earlier potty training as a result of CDing.

This is our second so I do have some experience. However, I don't have experience with the newborn stage. Fully addicted though!

2. What is your favorite CD you have bought?

For the one size stage I loved the Kawaii Mom Label Bamboo diapers. Fun prints, trim fit, and not overly priced.

3. What are you most nervous about regarding this choice?

During the newborn stage I choose to use flats. The cheapest way but I'm nervous because I have only used pockets and AI2. I am hopping I fall in love with them and continue to use them as baby gets bigger.

4. Where are you in your stash collection? A lot left to purchase? Mostly done?

I am mostly done. I still need to order a few more snappies but that's it.

5. GTKY: What motivated you to want to CD?

Saving money in the long run.

How does anyone's butt fit in those??? I am getting a little nervous that baby will take after her mom, and she will have a big but and not fit in any of my cute NB diapers!

I have been using cloth diapers and cloth wipes for a 1 1/2 years with my first.

2. What is your favorite CD you have bought?

For style my favorites : Alice in Wonderland and 20,000 leagues under the sea!

For Brands: I have 2) I love BG Elementals for nighttime and BG 4.0 for the day and they are a great swim diaper!

3. What are you most nervous about regarding this choice?

Not feeling overwhelmed with laundry. I have a great system now, I feel like every other day I am going to just have to stay at home to do diapers.

4. Where are you in your stash collection? A lot left to purchase? Mostly done?

I have more than enough I think. A friend gave me 12 3.0's and since my daughter doesn't go through as many diapers as she did when she was 1 month I think we are set

I do think I might need more cloth wipes and possibly get a new wet/dry bag and then a wet bag liner . I like to wait till he gets here to see if I really need more .

5. GTKY: What motivated you to want to CD?

It was financial all the way. If I was not a stay at home mom I would probably be using disposables.

First child is still in diapers and it's been going great.

2. What is your favorite CD you have bought?

Blueberry Simplex. Yes they are expensive but they are my favorite. Rumparooz and Bumgenius tie for second place.

I'm relieved I have everything I need already for both kids.

I have more than enough diapers and sometimes need to remind myself not to buy any more. Except I bought two of the new blueberry prints.

5. GTKY: What motivated you to want to CD?

I came across modern cloth diapering in a blog and really liked the cute prints. It also seemed like something I could handle no problem.

2. What is your favorite CD you have bought? Well, we used a FuzziBunz Medium on my daughter the other night after her first major pee and she didn't leak through!

3. What are you most nervous about regarding this choice? Nothing too much at this point. It's my second kid.

4. Where are you in your stash collection? A lot left to purchase? Mostly done? Done!

5. GTKY: What motivated you to want to CD? Money, probably the most. This kid will pretty much be cloth diapered for free. Also, now I like cloth wipes better than disposable wipes (though I do use disposable wipes when I am out) and the less rash and less blowouts!

I'm a STM, but had to stop CDing when Our daughter started going to daycare at a little over a year. I do not believe it's possible to CD and not become addicted.

2. What is your favorite CD you have bought?

I've have quite a few. With my daughter my favorites were tots bots, peachy greens, Bumgenius freetimes, thirsties aio, blueberry deluxe and amp diapers. But when I wasn't able to CD her full time I sold my beloved stash. With this one I have thirsties aio, blueberrys, and best bottoms. I tend to try one and then find something else and sell all my stash and by others. Thus why I had so many favorites with kellie. I also can't stand to have uneven of them. So if I have 2 of one color I have to have two of all of them.

3. What are you most nervous about regarding this choice?

I'm never about best bottoms. I never tried the ai2 method before, but since this is baby number 3 I'm hoping it'll cut down. On how many diaper loads I have to do on top of the laundry I already have to do.

4. Where are you in your stash collection? A lot left to purchase? Mostly done?

I have some of each I still want to get along with my wetbags. Otherwise we are set. The thing that's most addicting is the brands always come out with new prints/colors. So you always need to get some. Luckily, you can sell for a tiny below, at, or above retail value...so I always get my money back.

5. GTKY: What motivated you to want to CD?

When our son was out of diapers, I calculated how much it cost us from birth to potty training. 3800. Ridiculous. I easily could get the basics for 250, though I don't and never did. My stash is probably around 750 (more with my daughter as I had htf diapers) but I am always able to sell and make my money back. So I diaper my baby for free. Yeah I care about the environment too, but money in my pocket. Sign me up!

I'm almost completely done but I'm using prefolds so I'm done until he's about 20lbs.

The cost and the health of my baby. I love that there are no chemicals!

Cloth diapered DD after about 6 months, but never a newborn

2. What is your favorite CD you have bought?

I am excited about my GMD Orange Workhorses. I don't have any experience with how they actually work, but I'm sort of excited to use the bummis pull on cover I have...something old fashioned about a little white diaper cover on a newborn.

3. What are you most nervous about regarding this choice?

Not letting the extra laundry overwhelm me...I'm also afraid of dealing with rashes.

4. Where are you in your stash collection? A lot left to purchase? Mostly done?

I need to be done...I have 36+ newborn changes between prefolds, fitteds, FST, and a few AIOs, plus another dozen small prefolds. Just need to get some more wipes now.
