As you may have seen in my post, I had my ER on Thursday & they retrieved 17 eggs. They did a 'to be sure' ICSI, which meant they took 3 of my eggs to fertilize that way. I got the call on Friday morning that all 3 of those fertilized.. and out of the other 14, 9 fertilized. She said that all 14 weren't mature, but didn't say the number. But, that give us 12 embies. They are doing a 5dt of 2 on Tuesday. I have to go in tomorrow for bloodwork, and I'll find out my transfer time tomorrow. I won't get another update on how many embies made it until that appointment.

I also started the great PIO shots last night. The shot wasn't too bad, but man that muscle is verrry sore today! Totally worth it and hope I have to continue them for 8-10 more weeks.

QOTW: I do most of the cooking, except DH does anything breakfast related or grilling.

@ky29 - That is SO exciting! I'm really pulling for you!!

This cycle is just long, but we're making progress. I started on Metformin a couple days ago - no side effects yet and I'm hoping they' don't start as I up the dose. I'm on CD64 and still technically on the bench "voluntarily." I'm waiting 2 more weeks to trigger AF so I can start Letrozole in 3 weeks. The closer it gets to that date, the more real this all gets. We've been talking about kids for a long time and it's only been in theory. Now its slowly becoming more of a reality.

I know several of us have had some rough days lately, so I'm really thinking good thoughts for all you ladies!

ETA: QOTW - I definitely do the cooking in my household. Although I don't venture out to the grill. My husband is Grill Master P

I'm off bcps and on lupron (which has caused me to have a migraine for the last 3 days..grrr). Transfer is scheduled for the 27th.

Heya ladies! Welcome to another week here at 3T! My FF app changed my O day twice this week! From sat to sun then to Tues....I freaking hope that its done changing its mind! so I am on CD23 4DPO according to FF) at least they cant change my CD LOL

Well anyway we had poor timing, and I had small progress from the Femara but I seem to be trending (3 of 4 cycles) O on CD19. So at least I can let my RE know next cycle so that they can monitor me at a better time.

My bestest news this week was that both US I had this cycle were 100% covered by my insurance!!!! I was told that since I had no IF coverage they would try and run it anyway and it must have worked since I checked the website and it said I dont owe for either procedure! (My ins does not cover IF but it will cover treatment of underlying cause of IF ie My PCOS)

I have been working on losing some extra weight to increase my chances of a better healthier O and 9 months (once we get there). I have also been being positive and using phrases like "when we get preg" or "when I am a mom" instead of "if we ever get preg" or "if we have kids" I feel a strong change coming in my world and I am not going to fight it only roll with the changes! I am not really a religious person but watched a fabulous movie and this quote really got to me.

“There were two farmers who desperately needed rain, and both of them prayed for rain. But only one of them went out and prepared his fields to receive it. Which one do you think trusted God to send the rain; the answer the one who prepared his fields for it?”

You have to work for what you want not just hope and pray and wish (although dont stop doing that either)

I already have a previous diagnosis of PCOS but my RE is doing an extensive work up tons of lab work, u/s, HSG, SHG, SA and 2hour GTT. After all this is done we will meet and discuss treatment!

Hi ladies! Trucking along with Gonal F, excited to have my follicle scan with one of the clinic's founding dr's. I have a list of questions already, and I'm hopeful that he may be accepting new patients since I'm not completely thrilled with my current Dr.

Feeling like there is no point in trying IUI anymore, the elusive BFP seems farther away than ever for some reason this cycle.

QOTW: I do most of the cooking, but DH is always willing to help or start dinner before I get home. He is completely in charge of the grill!

AFM I am 7/8 DPiui's, and I started brown spotting today right on cue. Every cycle I hold out hope that my body will not be so annoying, and every time I get disappointed....sigh. Beta is scheduled for next saturday 9/13 but I'll probably test before that.

2DPO and just feeling wonderful after hearing from so many 3T friends that perhaps our BDing + last-minute IUI may have a chance after all.

Just want to say, I am really ready to be pregnant already. Sometimes it feels like we'll just wake up out of this horrible fog and get KU'ed like the next fertile girl. IF is just awful. I am trying to be thankful for the character development that comes along with not getting what I want for 67 months and counting. Riiiight. -_-

QOTW: DH cooks (he's a trained chef), and I almost have to wrestle the pans out of his hand to cook for myself sometimes. I always thought I was quite a cook but since we got married he never wanted anything I made so we quickly settled into him cooking. Not going to complain, it's pretty nice.

Update for me after my OBGYN appt on Sept 4. Just did my CD3 bloodwork yesterday. I have my HSG on Monday. Also getting a referral to a RE

I do all the cooking (except easy things like pizza lol) .... DH once melted a spatula on the stove...dear lord lol

I go in on Monday for my CD13 blood work and u/s. Hopefully iui#1 in the next few days. QOTW- I do most of the cooking. DH is the grill master of the house ETA: I went to my cd13 appt and I have four follies. 10 mm, 11mm, 16mm and 23 mm. Triggering tonight and my first iui is on Wednesday!!!! So excited and hopeful. What do your doctors consider a mature follicle to be? I've read 15mm is considered mature but the nurse said they want anything over 17mm

I posted earlier but I had IUI #2 today. We had 2 good sized follicles and a 72 million post-wash motile sperm count so it looks good on paper! I'm choosing to be hopeful.

QOTW: I do almost all the cooking. I love to cook. DH can cook but he has worked in restaurants his whole life so cooking in small quantities is a foreign concept to him. The other night he cooked 6 chicken breasts, two pounds of green beans, a giant vat of mashed potatoes and a loaf of garlic bread FOR THE TWO OF US. It's a good thing I like what he cooks because it's leftovers for a week!

I'm back in the TTC game! (well, so long as my ovaries decide to cooperate...)

Q: I do most of the cooking. Last night, I made a chicken, brie, and spinach tart. Tomorrow is chicken alfredo (sauce from scratch) with garlic bread and brussels sprouts. YUM. I plan the menu a week at a time. Up also this week will be my favorite traditional Cuban meal (secret family recipes

) and a few other house favorites.

IUI #4 was a bust for me, moving on to IVF... BCPs for Sept and Oct and ER/ET in November! Have gone through the range of emotions this cycle but I LOVE my RE so we're pretty excited and hopeful about IVF. Initially I was adamant about no breaks, let's just keep plugging away, but am now looking forward to some time where DH and I can focus on us and not worry about hormones and timing and appointments.

My hubby is a waaaaaay better cook than me so he does most of the cooking. I do on occasion just to help out/be nice, but his meals are always better so I try to stick to baking.

*Warning....

IUI #3 was two weeks ago tomorrow. I got a faint line on the wondfo at 9 DPIUI. Had to up the contrast in a photo to make sure... retested every morning and it is now pretty visible. I go in tomorrow morning for my first beta... I'm praying these aren't evap lines.

No symptoms whatsoever aside from some lower right side cramping at 10 DPIUI that I was afraid may mean ectopic... Fingers crossed.

I've had one hell of a roller coaster of a week. Still on the stims for IVF, and on day 7 I was showing only 2 mature follies and 2 little ones - a very poor response given I'm on a pretty aggressive treatment protocol (given my low AMH). The RE and I had a frank chat about whether to cancel my cycle or go ahead anyway, expecting to retrieve a very small number. She was cautioning me that I may have a serious egg issue and that perhaps proceeding with IVF would help give me "closure" (as in, we might see in the lab that my eggs just aren't behaving as expected and aren't going to be any good, and knowing this would help me move on to other options not involving my eggs). So as I'm sure y'all can appreciate I was a big mess for a few days. I definitely wasn't ready for the idea that my TTC journey could potentially be over very soon. But then (praise God) over the past two days,my underdog ovaries have kicked it into high gear and are producing some extra follicles, which are hitting mature territory. I still have a fighting chance for this IVF cycle. Grow follies grow! ER will be Wednesday. Fx for a decent retrieval and some decent embies to make it for a 5 day transfer. Shout out to the DOR/low AMH ladies. We can do this!

@bunnyberry, If I don't plan, it doesn't happen LOL. I can only go to the grocery store on Fridays, so I have to make sure that anything I need or want is on the weekly list. On weeks where I've lapsed, we've ended up eating rice and beans, leftovers from his parents' house, or mcdonalds LOL

4. What treatments are you doing? Just got IUI #4 this morning...i'm on femara with a trigger shot. I'm not too hopeful about this cycle because I only had one follicle, possibly another one. Husband's numbers looked good again and I got in Thursday for a progesterone test to double check my levels.

No new news since my RE appointment a couple weeks ago. I'm going in for more blood work next week to check on thyriod levels but other than that I'm just going to continue to try losing weight before jumping deep into treatments. I have follow up appointments with my regular endocrinologist, as well as my RE, in October.

4. Treatments - all natural for now. Acupuncture, maya massage, some herbs, cut out caffeine and limiting alcohol (it really dries me out and my acupuncturist said i need to hydrate hydrate hydrate)

For everyone who is up to date on the above, where are you in your current cycle and how's it going?

I'm in the 2WW, around 4 DPO. Last month was a L ovulation so if this month is R, my chances are low b/c it is blocked. However I am trying meditation and envisioning loosening & softening the tube and opening it up so maybe a miracle will happen.

QOTW: Who does most of the cooking in your house?

Mostly me. I'm good at working with whatever we've got. My husband is more meticulous and always chops everything in advance, I tend to go as I go. His specialties are omelettes, risotto, spring rolls. Me - I make all sorts of yummies!

Were on our own this cycle. DH had to have a urologist appt and I needed a hysteroscopy (which was perfect, but hurt like hell). Once I get AF in a few weeks, I will start BCP and then move on to our first IVF-ICSI cycle. This is of course, unless we get a miracle BFP on our own!

My name is Rita, we've been TTC since November of 2007. Recently diagnosed with unexplained IF. We just started cycle for IUI#2 w/ a combo of Clomid/injects. The Clomid is kicking my butt this time around, but I only have one more day of it, hooray! I have an u/s scheduled for the 13th.

QOTW: I usually do most of the cooking, but we bought a new grill in the spring and DH is obsessed, so I'm off the hook as long as the weather is nice!

ETA: @Autumray‌ I love the quote! And the positive attitude! I think this might be a good time to start clearing out the "future nursery" aka: junk room ;p. Gotta make some room in my life for a LO!

I can't believe I haven't filled this out yet! .

3. What is your diagnosis (if you have one)? Unexplained (I have a tilted uterus, which everyone swears does not cause fertility issues)
4. What treatments are you doing? 2 IUI cycles with 100 mg clomid+trigger and 1 cycle of 100 mg clomid+trigger+TI. I also had a benched cycle due to "left" over follicles. I'm actually going to see a new RE tomorrow because I moved to a new area. I'm thinking about asking to get a new CD3 blood test and a new HSG since it has been a year. My DH works in Los Angeles which is a 2 hour commute one way so I feel our IUI days are over since there is no way he can give a sample in time for an IUI unless it was the weekend. QOTW: Who does most of the cooking in your house? My brother just moved out but he was making AMAZING food every night. He just graduated from college in March and came to live with us while he looked for a job. Instead of rent he was responsible for making dinner 5x a week. My brother is an INSANE cook. He really needs to become a chef! He created an AMAZING pomegranate salsa (with onions, cilantro and who knows what else) that he put on bison and wild boar tacos and it was heavenly. I really want him to submit this recipe into a cooking competition. He also makes a crazy good vodka sauce from scratch. Now that we have moved and he is now on his own, I'm back to cooking as much as I can. I try to cook 4 days a week, but its hard with my new commute

No big updates... Still waiting for my Dr. KK follow up & to hear back if we have a DE match.

QOTW: I do all of the cooking in my house. And I hate it!!! But we have to eat, and DH won't cook so oh well
