For my fellow TV lovers.

What shows are you excited about coming back? What new shows interest you?

I'm really excited for Big Bang Theory, Chicago Fire, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, and Top Chef (though that one doesn't start until mid-October...wah wah). I am sort of looking forward to The Biggest Loser, though after last year's controversy and the old/new one-hour format, I'm kind of losing interest. But I am a huge Bob Harper fan.

Gotham looks interesting (if a little dark), Red Band Society could go either way (may be too much emotionally for a preggo/mom with newborn), and The Mysteries of Laura I will try for no other reason than Debra Messing,

I know that sounds like I have all kinds of downtime but, like Sagen, I like to binge during laundry folding or doing my makeup in the morning.

The shows I watched last year were The Big Bang Theory, CSI, and The Blacklist. The first two I'll definitely be watching again since they've been long-time favorites. Whether or not I continue to watch The Blacklist is debatable. I mostly liked it, but I felt like I was always on the verge of losing interest in it. I thought they dragged out the main story line a little too long and focused too much on the "extra" stuff. Basically, what I really wanted to see and what they showed in the previews was only like 5-10 minutes of the show. I'm sure my time will be limited this season so it'll have to be pretty good to keep me watching.

We actually have cable this year but I'm horrible at remembering to watch shows. I'm going to try to pvr them, but I dont know if I'll actually remember to. I'm going to try to get into new shows this year to make having cable worth the money, but I have no idea what shows are even out there.

I am anxiously awaiting the DVD release of Big Bang, Modern Family, Always Sunny, and of course I need HIMYM on DVD.

Love Dr who, but that's started.

Looking forward to BBT, CSI, NCIS (the original, but I'll give New Orleans a try), Haven (SciFi), and Top Chef.

I'm also going to give Madam Secretary a try, it looks good and I love Tea Leoni.

Walking Dead, Parks and Rec, and dh and I recently started Sons of Anarchy, but at the rate we are going, we will catch up soon.

I am starting to lose interest in Big Bang Theory.

Big Bang Theory

Revenge

Nashville

American Horror Story

Parks and Rec

As for new shows, I'm interested in giving Utopia a try.

Honestly, I thought I would feel the same but I really like the music. (And I am NOT a country fan). A lot of it seems like more pop than country, or alt-country (at least that's how I would define it!) -- and the girl/guy pairing in Season 1 always reminded me of The Civil Wars.

Ooohhhh I like the Cival Wars

Scarlett and Gunnar are my favorites. They must get together, have a fabulous Nashville wedding, make adorable babies, and sing through the whole thing.

ETA: @DC2London: This is what we are talking about. This is my favorite song they sing. And I have everything they sing on my iTunes. :-D

So in looking into this a bit more, I learned that a few of my favorites songs were actually written by The Civil Wars, so yeah... that makes sense why they remind me! My favorite is Deacon and Rayna -- No One Will Ever Love You. SWOON!
