The obsessing has commenced!

I've been playing it so cool all week and I've been pretty proud of myself about it!  My appt to discuss results with my RE and hopefully start treatment is this Monday at 11:30.  I've been so good about not talking about it and keeping myself busy and distracted with teaching, but now that it's Friday evening....I'm home....DH is working nights....and the obsessing has begun.  So, with all of that being said, I am SO curious about when fertility treatment is typically started.  My RE is wanting to do a combination of injections with oral meds, so does anyone have any idea about when that would begin?  Is there a certain day in my cycle it would begin or would it be immediate?

Married: May 28, 2011
TTC 1st Child since January 2013
1st RE Appt: 8/19/14
Blood Work: 8/26/14
HSG Test: 9/2/14
RE Appt to discuss results and treatment: 9/8/14
Shocking BFP: 9/27/14
D&C: 10/17/14
Benching myself until we fully heal
Unexpected BFP: 1/23/15

    Drugs start after your next period. You get a protocol for which cycle days to take everything, but you'll need to wait until AF. Unless you happen to be in the first few cycle days when you meet the RE, and then he could have you get started.

    If you are just missing that window waiting for the appointment, perhaps you could call and ask for your prescriptions so you can get started?

    So sorry you're feeling "obsessive" about it tonight. I know the feeling, when everything slows down and I'm home alone it just seems like the only thing to focus on! I hope you have an enjoyable and distracting weekend. :)

    I'm on a combo too, I'm sure there are so many different ways it can go, but here's how it goes for me:

    CD1: call office, schedule ultrasounds, etc
    CD2-6: Clomid
    CD7:GonalF Injection
    CD9: 2nd injection
    CD10: Ultrasound and evaluation

    After that it just depends on what my body has done with all that. I hope that helps! I was freaking out before my first cycle too. I'm sure your RE will have a protocol worked up for you at your appt. and you will feel a bit better then! Good luck!
