I don't actually have much of a bump so I definitely can't weigh in on the random people attempting it. My instinct there is Get the fuck away from me. But my SIL (who I only get to see a few times a year) patted my belly and said "bye" to the baby last time I saw her. It was actually really sweet. That's really all I've got so far. Ask me again in a few weeks, I'm sure I'll be a ball of rage.

SS- friends and family rub my bump and I don't mind at all. If a stranger touched my stomach I think I would flip out. That's just weird!!

The only person allowed to touch me without expressed permission is DH and even that is only sometimes. The only people I don't get mad at are children who are too young to understand that they need permission.

I don't mind when family & friends do it at all...since having DD and my body completely changing, being pregnant is really the only time I feel confident & comfy with my body. I'd be weirded out if a stranger touched it, but probably would give an awkward smile and haul ass outta there because I don't like confrontation. Strangers touching my babies is another thing though...don't put your paws on my kids.

I'm in the WTF category. I'm not touchy feely in the first place, and I have expressed that I am not comfortable with my belly being rubbed. My mother and my MIL continue to think it's hilarious. It makes me physically on guard to be around them and DH thinks I have lost my mind.
I don't like how they disrespect me. It makes me downright angry. I don't even want to see them.

I think its adorable when my 4 yr old dd touches and talks to baby. I have no issues with dh, my mom or sisters touch me. These are people who would normally touch me when im not pregnant. Everyone else needs to back the fuck off.

I don't care. I'm not proud of it persay, but I could give 2 shits if someone wants to touch my belly. Except for creepers. Little ol' ladies, random non creepy looking strangers, friends, family, can go ahead and touch. I won't be offended.

It's funny to me how I feel differently with different people. DH gets all touching rights no questions asked, and my mom and inlaws I don't mind either. Other people though I get a weird feeling, and I prefer it didn't happen.

Only one person so far (family member) has tried to touch it and I didn't really mind. We'll see if things change as the bump becomes more noticeable.

I don't mind when DH touches the bump as it is half his, haha. Both of my parents and a couple close friends have touched my belly and it makes me uncomfortable but not enough to say anything. The weirdest thing that has happened so far was while I was waiting to get blood taken at my last appt, a stranger reached over and touched my belly and asked how far along I was. Turns out she was also pregnant, about 2 weeks behind me, and not yet showing. She was very nice and maybe that is accepted in her family/culture so I just brushed it off. I'm not very confrontational though...

If we have a good relationship I don't mind... I can't just say if I know you I'm okay with it. But my mood also has a lot to do with it. I sort of snapped at my mom yesterday for it.

My surrogate-mom co-worker shook my 9 month belly last time, just both hands, each side and gave her a good jiggle. I was weirded out but laughed. Until Squeaker retaliated.

I had a customer on the floor start walking towards me with a hand out and I pulled a box cutter on them.

My mother, one sister and H can touch it and that's it for family. The rest get stopped at arm's length. My dad has no desire to touch bump. It makes him feel icky to think of his daughter having sex.

If I wouldn't ask you to check out my bacne and see if it's ready for squeezing you're not touching the bump.

I snapped at my mom AND MIL for it today, so I feel ya.

When I say I don't want it touched, that doesn't mean SNEAK a feel in the middle of church when I can't kick you.

Only close family and friends, and only if they ask and I'm in the mood. But it's mostly just my sister and two close friends that liked to touch/rub my belly last pregnancy. Once I can feel baby kicks from the outside I'll encourage some hands on for those interested because I find that a pretty cool sensation. DH and DS pretty much have a free pass, but DH can read my mood and is good about leaving me alone when I'm grouchy.

I generally hate being touch, so I'm surprised I haven't felt the need to smack anyone yet. My mom, my MIL, My brother in law's girlfriend always touches me, the neighbourhood kids like to do it also, I find it so weird that they would want to. I would never ever go up to someone and touch them, but they look so happy, so I figure what the hell, touch away.

I don't mind family touching my belly! But I had a lady today pat my belly not rub PAT! Like why would you do that?! I think stranger's should ask before touching.
