Terrible back pain at night?

Is anyone else experiencing terrible back pain during the night? I wake up usually early morning (4:30-5) with excruciating back pain that does not lessen no matter what position I try and lay in. I have to get up and walk around then sleep sitting up in a chair for a while. It's awful! I start PT tomorrow and I'm REALLY hoping this helps :-/

  • My boobs are only c's so I doubt that is MY problem. Please let me know if your pillow helps! I use a body pillow, but it's obviously not helping. Sorry you are going through this as well.
  • I started as a DDD so they were heavy to start and now are just out of control! It's annoying.

Amen. My body pillow is the only reason I can sleep at night. I have to rest my boobs on it to give my poor back some relief

  • You poor girls! :-o
  • Sleeping with a pillow between my legs has helped a ton!
  • @ordinary1‌ I've been using my body pillow and sleeping with that between my legs, but it's totally not helping :-(
  • I'm ordering a body pillow today.  I've had the worst back paid when I try sleeping for the last 4 days and I can't take it any longer.  I have to try something! A regular pillow between my legs or under my back doesn't help.
  • @angsamp, I totally understand! The body pillow does nothing for me though. I may try a snoogle. I had another sleepless night last night. I'm exhausted! Good luck!
  • I've had back and hip pain at night the whole pregnancy - first from the shots and now from the babies. The pillow between my knees does help a little, but honestly I cheat and sleep on my chest (also in the big and sore club), but with my hips angled so my belly is more side than stomach sleeping. I used to put one leg into a 4 to give my belly more space, but the MW says I have to keep my legs parallel to help with the new and excruciating pelvic pain! Carrying twins is no joke!! The MW also suggested a maternity belt - wearing it during the day seems to help, maybe wearing one at night would work if that's when your pain flairs up.
