Thanks everyone for all your replies. I am not sure if I believe it or not, just thought I would ask to see if anyone had ever experienced anything like this or just your general thoughts on it. I love to see everyone's responses.
I have personal experience because I'm a L&D nurse. I use to not believe the OWT either until I started working there. It is typically busier with women coming in because their water broke. And it's not always only the day of the full moon, usually it's a couple days before and last through the day of the full moon. So I'm a believer.
I'm a believer. Never worked on L&D, but I do live on a farm. Our cows are much more likely to calf (at the end of their gestation) if there's a full moon or a huge weather shift. It's really crazy stuff

I actually asked my midwife this last year, because the July Supermoon was right around DD2's due date (within a few days), and I really didn't want to end up going 41+ weeks like I did with my first. (I ended up with an induction at 41.5w)
She said the new moon and the full moon can affect you, but what really puts a lot of women into labour is large changes in barometric pressure. So if there's a storm-a-brewin' you're more likely to go into labour than with a full moon.
(And I think this is based on her anecdotal experience more than anything else)

Damn, I hope this is true because we had a huge storm last night! That plus the full moon tonight has to get this baby out, right???
