Personally I'd say Medela. I had an Ameda Purely Yours pump and it wasn't great. Motor broke within 2 months. They did ship me a new one for free but still wasn't that impressed. Just bought a Medela one, like it a lot better. Each woman may say something different though or your insurance may only cover a certain brand just fyi.
I had a medela with my first and an ameda with my second. I liked the ameda more than the medela. For peace of mind I really prefer the ameda over the medela due to the closed system. I never hadproblems with my medela though.
I'll be getting an ameda purely yours with freemie attachments for this lo.
Have any of the STM+ moms here used a Hygeia pump?
I'm a FTM but the lactation consultant who did the class that I took recommended the hygeia if insurance covered it over the medela and ameda. I was leaning toward hygeia before her endorsement and that sealed the deal for me, so that's what I'm getting!
