I had carpal tunnel issues pre pregnancy so they're horrible now. You can try braces just from Walgreens or wherever, especially if it's worse in the morning because then you're probably curling your wrists in your sleep. But really I just deal with numb, painful hands because there isn't much else you can do until the pregnancy swelling goes down.
Try visiting a chiropractor. I had it bad (at least my Dr and I thought I did). I was wearing braces constantly and still hurt. I mentioned it to my chiro and he adjusted something in my wrist and forearm (holy shit, that hurt though) and within a couple hours it was like I'd never hurt in the first place. It's come back a couple times, but each time my chiro makes that adjustment (and if I catch it early the adjustement doesn't hurt again) it goes away. It's worth a try!
I had it bad last pregnancy. I slept in the braces and that helped some but really I just had to deal with it. I was glad it went away after DS was born. Some people will continue to have it from holding baby while nursing so be aware and try to switch up your positioning in you plan to nurse.
I also had it bad last pregnancy. I slept in the braces that were uncomfortable. I also had some looser, less bulky bands I wore during the day. There is really nothing you can do until a couple weeks after pregnancy. It will go away though!
I have been suffering since 15 weeks. It's absolutely terrible! It was really bad until about 30 weeks. Now at 36 weeks it's calmed down a little. My fingers are always numb though and I know now why pregnant women drop stuff all the time! I used a brace but it just doesn't help. I figure only 28 more days and this should all subside thankfully! Good Luck to you!
I just started experiencing this around 33 weeks... its horrible and my husband thought I was crazy yesterday when I told him I had pregnancy - induced carpal tunnel.. Ugh stupid men! Anyway I guess I need to go get some braces to wear at work and at night. :-(
