GTKY -Baby Edition

Now that are little ones are getting bigger and showing their personalities more I thought it would be fun to get to know our F14 babies.

What does he or she like and dislike? Fav foods? Activities? People? What makes him or her laugh? Predictions for the future? Etc. Pictures and anecdotes are highly encouraged.

Collette loves to be out in public socializing with people. She loves other babies and our dogs. She also loves to sit at her kick and play piano (the piano is in the table position now) and play the piano and sing. She also loves to give kisses. She also is fearless and loves to be held high in the air, be upside down, etc.

I am definitely her favorite person and she says "mommamommamomma" when she sees me. She loves sweet potatoes, carrots, peaches, and avocado. Not such a fan of peas and chicken.

She laughs when I say "Good morning to the baby!" and when we tickle her neck and tummy.

Nate loves people. He's happy to be around and involved in whatever people are doing. He's a mover and hates to be restricted when he wants to crawl around, but loves to snuggle when in the right mood. He'll grab my hair and bury his face in my neck. Swoon.

I have yet to find a food he won't eat...the trick is getting him to stop eating before he stuffs himself so full it won't stay down. His brother is his favorite person...he lights up whenever he's around

I'm predicting he's the opposite of his big brother...carefree, some sort of athlete, goofy, and big hearted (my big is mr. serious). He's hard to get a picture of because he never stops moving but here's a few.

Reece has amazing determination. When he was learning to roll over he'd try so hard that he'd start crying out of frustration, and I'd have to pick him up. When he was learning to pull himself up on furniture, he'd fall, cry, and then as soon as I put him down, he'd be trying again.

He is also fearless. He loves to be turned upside down, or driven really fast in his stroller. His tummy is super ticklish, and he squeaks if you even pretend to tickle it. He also has a great sense of humour. Yesterday morning I put him next to his still sleeping Daddy. He curled up, cuddled for a minute then blew a big raspberry on a Dad's arm, then laughed and laughed.

We call Reece Mr. Independent or Wildman. But at the end of the day his preferred sleeping position is tucked in with me.

I think he'll be a handful as a toddler. His independence and determination make me so proud, but I bet they'll drive me crazy in the coming years. I just hope his keeps his sweetness and humour too.

This child is the light of my life, and the thing that I didn't know was missing until he arrived.

DD loves...pretty much everything it seems. She loves being held, or just on the floor. She's better at going backwards than forward, so she often gets upset when she finds herself stuck under furniture.
Her favourite foods are sweet potatoes, apples, oatmeal, pizza crusts, banana
She really dislikes mango. That's the only food we've found so far that was a definite no-go.

She adores the bath - but always has. She's now learned she can sit up in her bath seat and splash at lot more, which is great fun...but messy and wet for me now.

She adores exploring and trying to crawl and talk to the cats. She loves her eeyore rattle.

The cats make her laugh, daddy, funny faces, tickles...she has the best laugh in the world. She's her giggliest right before bed for the night....I'm not sure if part of it is exhausted-related delirium.

I have no real predictions for her. She's amazing, and she amazes me more every day. I can't wait to see her grow and see the person she becomes.

DD likes being out and about. She loves going for walks. She loves cats and dogs. She loves to eat. So far her favorites have been steak and apples. So far I'm her favorite person. Next are her daddy and her grandfather. She is a very curious baby and watches everything I do.
She does not like bananas. She used to hate the car. But now she falls asleep during car rides. She really only gets upset when she's tired, hungry, or teething. She hates to be alone.
DD wins everyone over with her adorable face, and her sparkling personality. She is mellow and sweet. I anticipate that she will be marvelously kind. She will be a hard worker and can do anything she wants.
