I'm feeling pretty good, just large and more tired than I have been.
I went for a long walk yesterday and today I plan on eating spicy Thai for lunch. Dr scheduled an induction for me on Wednesday but I'm hoping it won't be necessary.
I have never felt LESS like I was going to go into labor. Like honestly I believe I could have spontaneously delivered a baby before I was even pregnant with better odds than it happening now.
Doctor wrote "induce at 41 weeks" on my chart last week but didn't bring it up it schedule it. I'm furious because if I was going to be induced at all, I wanted it to be while H is here, not 3 or 4 days after he freaking leaves. If I'm not progressing at all, what difference does 3 days make?
Eta: Missed the part about natural interventions... I've tried most of the "safer" old wives tales to get her to come on time to meet her daddy... Sex, walking, spicy food, pineapple, and acupressure (I did it though, not a professional. Probably why it didn't work).
40+5. Tired from being up last night with heartburn and some contractions that fizzled out. I've been trying to stay as active as possible.. taking dog for walks, walking the zoo with my 3 yr old. .etc.. cleaning house every night. .vacumming. Had sex once at 39.5 weeks but will not do again..too awkward. Dr did a stretch to 2 cm but not sweep as he believes it puts baby at risk for infection. Getting induced Tues night or weds am depending on how cerivix Is favorable tomorrow. Hopefully soon for all of us overdue!
I feel pretty good, I will say that I'm tired though because sleep is impossible these days. I do still have to install the car seat bases and wash some baby gear, so it's probably ok that she isn't here yet.
The usual natural interventions, walking, sex, spicy food.
I have an induction scheduled for Tuesday night or Wednesday morning, I'm hoping she comes on her own before then but I'm also ok with the plan.
@conradraging when do you have your next appointment? Would you be willing to ask for an induction before DH leaves?
@Jenner37 I have an appointment and a bpp tomorrow, but I haven't had any dilation or effacement at all so they won't do the induction even though we have asked.
How are you feeling? Pretty good. Lower back is beginning to hurt more.
Any interventions planned or completed yet? (Natural/medical)Induction is scheduled for Tuesday. I have GD so they really don't want me to go past that. We have tried sex, spicy food, walking, exercising, and chiropractor.
I'm feeling generally okay. Other than sporadic cramps and losing part of my MP, I have zero signs that my body is getting ready to evict a baby. Although I'm actually hoping I don't have the baby now until after Tuesday because I really want to take my son to his first day of preschool.
I've been taking EPO and red raspberry capsules, although I know they don't induce labor. Lots of walking, pineapple, sex (although only one time), and accupressure. I'm not very enthusiastic about trying castor oil, but I may try spicy food and nipple stimulation with my pump later this week. My midwives are willing to let me go to 42 weeks as long as we're both healthy, and I'd really love to avoid a medical induction this time around.
@conradraging I really hope your baby girl comes soon! My midwives really encouraging pumping to induce labor, have you tried that?
Feeling very tired the past couple of days and more emotional than I have throughout my pregnancy (I think I've cried 3 times this whole pregnancy and 2 of those times were this weekend). Having a lot of menstrual-like cramping and BH, but no signs of actual labor anytime soon!
Natural: I've been drinking red raspberry leaf tea for a few weeks now, started taking EPO a few days ago to help soften the cervix, walking 1-3 miles per day, bouncing on birthing ball, sex, acupressure. I've had several people tell me that Castor oil worked for them but I don't think I'm that desperate yet.
Medical: OB will check cervix on Tuesday to assess for induction. He would like to induce on Wednesday but I will only be a week overdue at that point and I don't think it's necessary to be induced that soon especially if there's no medical need (the baby is doing fine in there). Trying to do this all natural and really wanting to avoid Pitocin!
40+1 off original due date. Due date had been moved up to 9/1 but obviously that didn't happen.
Feeling extremely crampy. Have had some painful contractions but nothing timeable and a lot of BH. I have been losing MP and have had a really upset tummy all weekend. Currently drinking pedialyte out of a wine glass to avoid dehydration.
Have tried sex and walking a lot. May try to get in with chiropractor tomorrow. No medical interventions have occurred or planned at this time but if I hit my Dr appt Wednesday will schedule induction for early next week.
Best wishes for all you girls the next few days and I hope babies cooperate.

When do you see your Dr again? I would call and tell them your situation so your husband can be with you.

I have an appointment tomorrow, but every time I have asked, they bring up risk of c section if they try an induction without any cervical progression so I don't think they're gonna budge.
Feeling ok physically - all the usual complaints but this baby is small so I'm not nearly as uncomfortable as I could be. It's mostly just emotional distress - I'm ready, the family is ready and I just want to meet him.
I think I've tried all things natural: pineapple, eggplant parm, walking, sex, nipple stimulation (though not pumping). I even got on the trampoline today and lightly bounced side to side. Basically, same motion as birth ball but I'm having trouble doing that sitting because it's just uncomfortable. I've got high hopes for the full moon tomorrow too @tigger99. 9:38 EST! Otherwise, OB would like to induce Friday. I said no - bishop score only 5, and should be 8 I think for a favorable outcome. Grrrr.
Can I play? I'm 3 days from my due date, but I went all the way to 42 weeks last time and I know I'm headed that way again - no signs this baby will be coming any time soon. Last time I went to a professional acupuncturist to induce labor at 41 weeks and 4 days, and I did go into labor naturally the next evening. Labor lasted a very long time, and the baby eventually had to be born with a vacuum due to decels, but I was able to avoid a pitocin and c section. I REALLY hated the needles, but it may have worked.
This time since I'm already dilated, my ob will do the membrane sweep, and I'm really hoping it will work for me. The emotional waiting around wondering when and how it's going to happen to me is worse than the physical experience.
Officially 41 weeks. My midwife did a membrane sweep on Thursday, which did nothing but annoy me. I feel absolutely nothing. No cramps, contractions...nothing! I'm fully convinced that I'm going to be pregnant forever!
Since I have one hour left until I am officially overdue i will play! Feel crampy and tired. Thought my vag was gonna fall out earlier. But nothing timeable. I go back in on Tuesday and if she says I am still only 1cm (like the last 3 weeks) i may kick her! But if she doesnt arrive on her own by the 14th forced eviction will begin.
Maybe the supermoon tomorrow will do something for everyone!
@tigger99 I feel your pain, my due date is Monday so not technichally overdue yet but I also see the dr Tues. The last few weeks I have been dilated 1.5cm 70% effaced, -2 station. He has been head down since week 30. Hopefully our squishies come out soon! :!!
My due date was 9/1 so I am one week past due at the moment. Fortunately my doctor allows me to wait until I am 42 weeks so I am not that much stressed. The only thing I am stressed about is the fact that I am VBAC and they won't induce/augment my labor unless I am at least 3cm dilated (I am only 1cm now). Had my membrane swept today and we'll see what happens. Only mild contractions so far. I went for a 1h walk and now I am bouncing on a ball. Maybe that will open me a bit.
Hey ladies I just wanted to update here to let you guys know my doctor agreed to start cervadil tonight so if all goes well, baby will come tomorrow before H has to leave! Thank you for all the T&Ps!

Yayy!! I'm so happy for you! I have been stalking the site to see of you have delivered:)
FTM 40w5d today. Not really any signs, I feel good, just increasingly uncomfortable. Had a few dreams last night that labor had started, I wake up and nothing. . .see doc again at 41 weeks if no labor by then, will do ultrasound and other tests on baby, they'll let you go to 42 weeks before inducing if everything is ok medically. Just a waiting and wondering. . . .
