While we were cleaning our house today for our baby shower next weekend (MH did most of the cleaning

) it got me thinking about how most things I did before seem to be way more complicated. I was washing the dishes and I have to stand sideways a little or bend over and rest my arms on the sink to wash because my back starts to hurt (luckily most of our stuff can go in the dishwasher so it's not like a lot of dishes have to be hand washed. It kind of makes me chuckle how simple chores now aren't so simple. Any of you find any amusement out of day to day chores?
*I know it's annoying not being able to do things as easily believe me I HATE how winded I get just from walking up stairs just figured it doesn't hurt to find a little amusement out of this
Re: household chores
My biggest annoying chore (or one that has been made a lot more difficult by the belly) is loading and unloading the dishwasher. Bending down repeatedly is such a pain in the ass.
DH has a habit of putting dirty dishes on the counter above the dishwasher even when it is empty. Normally I don't say anything and just take care of it myself (part of my "I won't bitch about minor chores I can easily take care of myself" mantra), but a few weeks ago I had to call him on it. I explained how hard it was getting for me to bend over and it would really help me out if he didn't mind trying to remember putting his dishes in the dishwasher.
Happy ending: he has not only made extra effort to remember but is taking more initiative to unload and load the dishwasher for me.
Sorry, turned into a hubby brag. I'm a lucky woman, though.
N14 Nov. Siggy: CELEBRATION!
On a separate note I have a similar challenge with the washing machine. Trying to reach the clothes all the way on the bottom can get very challenging since my belly now crashes into the side of the machine. Luckily I've still (barely) managed so far, we'll see how long that lasts...
I always fold clothes as soon as the dryer goes off (while they are still hot) and put them in either my laundry basket or DH's. The other night, I sat in the floor so I could fold them when I pulled them out. I seriously couldn't stand there the entire time to fold them. DH just walked by and shook his head at me. Haha
Good thing he is a heavy sleeper once he is out.

Edited for autocorrect error, stupid phone.
Time to start sending DH... which is always interesting. I see a lot of frozen pizza, spaghetti-os, & pop tarts in our future
It's twin girls!! Born on 11-2-14!
I also hate breaking down big cardboard boxes and trying to stuff them into the recycle bin--it take a lot of ab strength!
Thank goodness DH LOVES to vacuum!! Washing dishes hasn't been terrible, I actually enjoy it and DH dries and puts away. I still do the cooking, food shopping, I wheel and grab, he packs and hauls upstairs and we both put away, i break down whatever meat we buy in bulk though.
We've been splitting the laundry....I sort, he hauls washes and swaps, we fold our own (I do mine and SS's) and we all put our own away. He was so good about it yesterday.....took care of everything that needed to be done laundry-wise without me having to ask as usual. Super helpful.
The main chore is dusting....needs to be done and I've been slacking on it.
I second this! We have a beagle and his shedding is the bane of my existence.
