My stupid question of the morning

What did you do to entertain your 4 week old? We'll talk to him and put him in his bouncer to watch all the moving objects (which he loves), but other than that I'm at a loss.

Re: My stupid question of the morning

  • We didn't.  There is really not much you can do with them when they are that young.
  • Loading the player...
  • singing, funny faces, finding lights for them to look at.  At 4 weeks, they don't need a lot of entertainment; they are just starting to take in the world around them.

ok good. he does like to watch harry potter. he'll watch the entire movie when any one of them come on hahaha. i guess that's entertainment enough for him!

  • That is just about all we did.  We did sing to him though and dance him around to music.  He loves music and would often fall asleep while we did that...because at that age.....he fell asleep so often!
  • I read to DD.  Not everyday like I said I was going to, but every few days.  Sometimes she wouldn't even look at the book, but now it seems like she recognizes some of the books I read to her over and over again when she was younger.  Or maybe that's just me imagining things... :)
  • I always shook rattles or read to DS... He loves to stand up, so we would sit with our knees up and let him stand up, but rest on our thighs. He loved that. I walk around with him and tell him what we're looking at... he loves that!
  • If it's warm enough, take him for walks in a stroller or a carrier.  We would also stick Sawyer in the Bjorn and do housework.
