I hate bras!

I just bought this one like 5 weeks ago and the underwire has already poked through. I'm so frustrated! I've been fitted, and measured, and fitted again, and STILL can't find a bra that works. And if I want to look like I actually have two breasts, I need the under wire. :(

They keep breaking in the fabric between the boobs. Any help? Recommendations? I'm absolutely a 38E, and I need a nursing bra right now.

  • @JRomeH‌ Where are you getting them, motherhood?

  • Bravado has some sexy and supportive nursing bras. I'm a 38 H or I, which is as big as this one goes.

Ug. I have four sports bras that I wear at night to keep the leaking under control, then two daytime bras (because all the rest have bit the dust at the same time), but I hate one of them it digs into my sides and the cups don't stay put. I think it was miss marked and the band is more like a 42 or bigger.

  • I'm not sure where the nearest Nordstrom s is, but there isn't one in my city.

  • @KatieKarasin‌ What do their sizes run like? I just looked up and there's a Nordstroms in a city about an hour away (ironically in the same shipping complex as the motherhood where I bought this bra!) and I think I'll make a trip soon. I seem to be a bottom of the cup filler, but I'm nursing, so it changes.

  • Since LO, I'm finding that I am now an "odd" size (small band, large cup).  I finally got a Bravado bra that I "like" just this summer (yes, after about 15 mo!).  The Bliss           https://www.bravadodesigns.com/shop/the-bliss-nursing-bra           is what I liked, no underwire, with a smooth cup (I don't like lace, or seams on the cup for the way they show under snug fitting tops, and now that I'm bigger, all my old tops are snugger that when I bought them).  I got mine at a hospital shop in a large city, because I wanted to go to a sales outlet that had a certified fit person on staff.  The hospitals closer to me either didn't carry any nursing bras, or only one style (which was more for right after baby / night nursing          https://www.bravadodesigns.com/shop/the-body-silk-seamless-nursing-bra          I think this was the one, wasn't what I was looking for).  I found the hospital shops on the Bravado website.

As far as Nordstrom, I LOVE Nordstrom bras, at least pre-baby.  They do carry some nursing bras, but my local store never carried my size with the features that I wanted (no underwire, smooth cup).  They didn't seem to have anything in their on-line inventory either.  I was in several times and no one offered to have Alterations convert a normal bra into a nursing bra.  I never thought to ask.

Good Luck!  Finding the right bra can be difficult, but is so worth the effort (at least in my opinion).
  • I loved my Bravado bras. Sorry about your troubles :)
