Ok so I'm getting married in November ( been planning this for nearly 2 years) and just found out I'm pregnant can I dye my hair and get a fake tan also manicures yay or nay?
I just got a mani pedi a couple days ago, just make sure you go some where with REALLY high sanitization expectations. I have a friend who got some sort of blood issue after the lady cut her skin accidentally and her son had to be born a few weeks early due to it affecting the baby. (I think it's rare it's never happened to me just make sure they have clean instruments).
Hair color is not safe in first tri, if someone sat in my chair I would turn them away first tri. 2nd and 3rd is fine as long as you aren't doing it every 4 weeks and highlights are totally fine because the bleach doesn't touch your scalp however do not let the stylist put you under a dryer it can cause the smell to overwhelm or really cook you. They shouldn't anyway it blows the cuticle wide open.
Spray tan in a booth is not the best option, try to find some one who manually does it that way if you need a breather they can pause.
I don't know a whole lot about this, but I have heard that it is safe so long as you're not exposed all the time, as PP said. I think it wouldn't hurt to let the girls at the salon know, because certain polishes are safer than others and I'm sure they do the nails/hair of pregnant women all the time.
Congrats on your wedding and your pregnancy!

Agree w/this poster. Hair dye isn't safe in first trimester. I'm not sure when your EDD is though, you may be fine if you schedule it right before your wedding. If you can get highlights rather than all over hair dye that touches the scalp that would be much better. I feel your pain - I've already got my highlights scheduled for 2nd tri Also try to go first thing in the morning when the fumes are at their lowest. Mani/pedis are totally safe.
Personally I wouldn't fake tan - there are so many chemicals in those things and the skin absorbs everything, not to mention the smell from the fumes. If you live in a sunny area can you try to just lay out a little bit?

@qanda2013 every salons rules are different. Ours would not allow color the first tri. When a stylist colors they wear gloves and when they are washing the color out it is diluted with water and shampoo. Plus the color is not sitting on your scalp being absorbed for 30-40 minutes. I colored hair while pregnant with my daughter however I did not color my hair until second tri.
My doc said to wait til I was out of first tri to dye hair, but there's really no evidence to back that up. I mean, hair colorists have babies too and they do it all day every day.
