Doula's in CT

So I’ve heard the term volunteer doula thrown around a lot when I was researching them but the only places that seem to have them is on the West Coast.  Does anyone how to find a volunteer doula in CT?

I love the idea of a doula for someone that knows what they’re doing and could provide that soothing support.  I’m 24 and this pregnancy was a surprise blessing but since finding out I’ve been trying to overload on as much info as possible. My family is great, but more loud Italian than soothing mindfulness I’m trying to go for.  I’m a little intimidated by some of the horror stories of trying to go natural and then doctors /hospitals have to follow their timeline of procedures.  I guess I’ve watched the Business of Being Born a few to many times hah but any help would great! Thanks in advance! :)

    I work in a drs office and one of our patients is a doula. In granby ct area. If you are interested I can see if she is available.

    You can always search CAPPA.net and DONA.com.  They both have search engines to find doulas in almost every area.

    If you happen to deliver at Danbury hospital, they have a doula program. It's $100 and you get the on call doula. I used that for my 2nd and 3rd. Ending up with the same doula who was amazing!

    I will be using Birth Partners as well! I just sent in my paperwork to Janet! I am due mid-march and will be delivery in the New Haven area.
