We're ice coffee addicts. I've heard DD coffee is amazing. One opened up about an hour away. Worth the drive to try it?

An hour? Eh, if I were in that neck of the woods anyway, sure, but I wouldn't go that far out of my way....I don't know if any coffee is that amazing....

No way. You would be pretty disappointed after that long of a drive. If your out that way then sure but I tend to think it's very watered down and not strong enough.

In a word - NO! I like McD's Frappe' better than the DD coffee any day of the week.. I took a sip of the stuff I got from DD (basically the equiv of a frappe) and was like "this stuff's WEAK!" While I like their coffee at home because I can make it stronger, but I wouldn't drive an hour to get it.

LOL - for whatever reason I can't do hot coffee,hot chocolate, or hot cider - just can't, so fluffy stuff it is... In order to keep up with the kids artificial energy needs to be added somehow...

I have had their hot coffee and don't think it's any sort of spectacular. I still prefer starbucks hot coffee

Um, no. Unless there was other things your were doing in the area. My coffees out are determined by convenience, so if I'm near a DD, especially if it's one with a drive thru, then sure. Usually I get my iced coffee at our Jiffy Mart because that's where I get gas a lot....::shrugs::

But I do agree, if you're kid-free, you just might HAVE to run errands an hour away...ya know....because...

I live dnd but not enough to servo an hour away for it. Around here I have 4 other them less then 3 miles from my house

No fluffy coffee for us. Ocasioanlly we'll do hot but coffee, a splash of simple syrup and a splash of skim. Nothing else

I'm kinda bummed. I was hoping for "zomg bet coffee ever!!! We'll probably still try it out, they opened it near the beach (Santa Monica for the CA peeps) so plenty to do once we get there. We've also driven 2 hours to try out a coffee house in Santa Barbara lol. We're serious about our coffee habit !

try it once you get there, but don't go out of your way. I'm from Chicago (now in the bay area) and I miss it dearly, but more the munchkins (donut holes) than the coffee.

I'm planning to wait until the initial hype died down a bit. Pre-kids I used to live in Brentwood and I mig have gone to wait in the opening day line if I was still there, but I'm older and crankier now and I can wait

Haha CBTL is my least fave! If my option if CBTL or nothing, I'll choose nothing lol

I absolutely love DDs iced coffee and will only drink it from there, but I would never drive an hour solely for a cup of coffee. I would most definitely make it part of my agenda if we were driving through the area though!

Their coffee is awful. I won't drink it and most definitely wouldn't drive an hour for it! I have no idea if their fluffy flavored crap is better because I just do regular coffee with a touch of skim, but their regular coffee is undrinkably bad.
