DS will sometimes tell us when he needs to get changed but for the most part, he doesn't. I didn't want to push potty training because I don't really think he's 100% ready yet but we bought a potty about a month ago just so he would get used it to it being in the house. Every night when I change him into his PJs, I sit him on the potty, we read a potty book, and I ask him if he needs to go. He never does. I don't care because, like I said, I don't think he's ready yet. He's too easily distracted by everything!
So last night was a late night for us so I was just going to change him right into his PJs and skip the potty thing. I started to put his night diaper on and he pushed it off, looked at me, and said "no Momma. Pee pee." I said "T do you have to pee pee? Do you want to sit on the potty?" He said "yes" (which he says to every single question I ask him so whatever...) So we went in the bathroom and he sat down. I walked out into the hallway for a literal SECOND to make sure that the gate to the stairs is closed properly and turn around to see him standing there, pointing at the potty and saying "Momma! Pee Pee!". I look in there and don't you know... HE DID IT! He peed in the potty! I never thought someone using a toilet would make me so excited but I am on some serious Proud Momma status right now. He's so far from being trained and I still won't push it but this is a serious step in the right direction. Sorry I had to share with you ladies. No one else gets how exciting this is! LOL
What new and exciting things are your LOs doing?
Re: AW for a second?
IVF FET - BFP, due April 2017
We have 'I peed!' and 'I pooped!' and he tends to use them correctly. He pees great on the potty but is so scared of pooping on the potty
