While on maternity. How shitty is that? I was 2 weeks shy of qualifying for FMLA when I got pregnant, so they didn't have to keep me on board. I'm devastated.
Omg - I'm so sorry. I know how this feels. I was laid off 4 days after I announced I was pregnant with DS back in 2009 bastards actually told me to look on the bright side because I had something exciting y to look forward to.
Keep your chin up and keep motivated. Keep yourself on a schedule and moving forward. Even the tiniest steps are something.
Are FMLA and maternity leave connected in your state? Here, you get maternity leave no matter what and your job is safe. If you qualify for FMLA, it secures your job longer.
That's awful! I'm sorry you're going through this.

I'm so sorry. My DH was laid off when LO was 4 days old and we were totally shocked. He ended getting a new job with better hours and pay. My best advice is to try not to let this take away from the great mommy you need need to be.
Thanks everyone for the well wishes. This definitely sucks but I will be fine. They are paying me through November 1st, so I am trying to see the bright side...an extra month at home with DD
