I live in SE MO, in a small town. We only use part time care, and pay $20/day for in-home. Most centers around here are $125/week+ (which I realize is super cheap for some of you, and is just 'reasonable' for my area)

Our Angel was born sleeping at 20 weeks due to IC.
My best friend is in southern Sask. and does in home care for $45 a day per child I think. But that's toddlers, and full time. She also has an ECE degree.
We do part time (now at an in-home, previously at a center), and we pay per day, regardless of hours. I actually was able to adjust my work schedule to save money on this. Pre-baby, i worked 5 days a week, 4hours per day. Since we pay for a day, I double up my shifts, work 8 hour days twice a week, and 4 hours from home. This keeps our childcare costs at $40/week instead of $100.

Our in home is no cheaper than the centers around here but she is licensed and takes way fewer kids than she's licensed for. We pay $325 per week for DS and $300 per week for our 2-year-old. So over $30k per year. We could get an experienced nanny for that price but have decided to stick with daycare for several reasons. We pay even when we're not there and when she's on vacation, but there are kids that are part time.
BFP #1 9/2010 (lost our baby at 21 weeks)
BFP #2 8/2011 (ectopic pregnancy)
BFP #3 10/2011 (chemical pregnancy)
BFP #4 12/2011 (Abigail born 8/15/12)
BFP #5 5/2013 (Griffin born 1/23/14 with heart defects, now repaired!)
We pay $175/wk for in home in the Midwest. This is about average for in home care here. This is regardless of part time or full time hours and she gets 2 weeks paid vacation.
I think there's a difference between and in-home day care that's licensed, ect and a mom who's babysitting out of her home part-time.
If someone is licensed, they're only able to have a certain number of kids at any given time, and have overhead expenses of a business (liability insurance, licensing, ect), so I feel like they would be more likely to charge a daily or weekly rate vs. someone who's watching children in a more baby sitting arrangement in their home that could do a hourly rate.
The rate for an in-home licensed daycare in our area is about $40-50 a day. (We're at a center which is more expensive.) More of a "baby sitting" arrangement in this area for 2 kids, I'd expect to pay about $15 an hour if she's also got her own kids.

My Wedding Bio from back in the day
We live in SW Ohio and are currently using an in-home provider. She charges $150/wk or $30/day. We don't pay if he's not there or for vacations. Daycares around us range from $225-265/wk.
We go to a daycare but I priced out in home options prior to having J as well. He goes 3 days a week and we pay $628 per month. It's not the cheapest place here but it was worth it to us to go to a place we liked. That was pretty comparable to what an in home place was charging here (Idaho).
I pay $1100 a month for my son who is 2.5 and Ds2, it is just my 2 kids and her daughter. I'm paying a little more then average for my area because she is awesome and is running more of a preschool for DS1. And I love that it us only 3 kids total.
I'm glad you're happy! My daycare provider means the world to me! She's truly everything and has been the last 10 years. She was 110 a week for my first DD and she's 140 a week for DD2. Not a bad hike over 10 years. Her normal rate is 180 but she offered me a discount.
I'm a sinner saved by grace and a child of the Attitude Era (Oh you didn't know?!?)
